Jovi Dufren is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and first met Yara Zaya from Ukraine through a travel application. They had initially intended to keep it to casual online messages, which led them to meet in Budapest, Hungary. Before long, they began traveling together and eventually fell in love. Just six months later, Yara became pregnant. However, despite Jovi’s fears, it brought the couple closer, and during a scuba diving trip in Cuba, he proposed to her. Jovi began his journey by completing his initial education at South Lafourche High School in 2008. He then pursued a career in the oil and gas industry as a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Pilot in September 2008. In that position, he worked on multiple subsea projects critical to offshore operations. By April 2013, Jovi was promoted to the role of ROV Supervisor. There, he assumed responsibilities that included overseeing personnel, managing system setups, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency on complex underwater missions. Additionally, Jovi has established a thriving online presence, boasting over 450K followers on Instagram. Through the platform, he offers fans a glimpse into his personal life and helps promote Yara’s ventures.
Jovi also does several brand collaborations, such as with Eureka E2o Plus. Furthermore, he connects directly with fans through his Cameo and Memmo accounts, offering personalized videos that showcase his down-to-earth character.
