Judy Maurer: Where is Amy Bradley’s Eyewitness Now?

In 2005, Judy Maurer was vacationing in Barbados with her husband when she experienced an unsettling moment that would stay with her. While using a public restroom, she encountered a woman who appeared distressed. Though no real conversation occurred between them, Judy couldn’t shake the sense that something was wrong. It wasn’t until months later, when she watched a television program about Amy Bradley’s disappearance, that the memory clicked and she believed the woman she had seen could have been Amy. In Netflix’s ‘Amy Bradley is Missing,’ Judy recounted the details of that brief encounter and explained why she is convinced it was Amy.

Judy Maurer Claimed to Have Seen Amy Bradley in Barbados

In March 2005, Judy Maurer was on a cruise with her husband when their ship docked in Bridgetown, Barbados. Wanting to pick up some souvenirs, the couple briefly explored the area, but the heat soon led them to decide to head back. On the way, Judy stopped at a nearby convenience store to use the restroom. According to Judy, she overheard a man’s voice from outside the door, instructing someone to be ready for a meeting. Exiting the stall, she said she noticed a young woman with dark hair washing her hands. Judy mentioned on the show that she sensed the girl had been crying and seemed deeply distressed. As per Judy, she attempted to make conversation and asked the girl’s name, to which the latter replied, “Amy.”

When Judy asked where she was from, she said the girl quietly responded, possibly saying “West Virginia,” and Judy said she also picked up on a Southern accent. Trying to offer comfort, Judy said she gently told the girl that her own daughter was also named Amy, but the girl responded with visible alarm, moving Judy toward the corner. She added that she opened the door and saw a man standing directly outside. Moments later, Judy and her husband seemingly saw two men walking hand-in-hand with the same young woman from the restroom. The supposed encounter left Judy uneasy, and though she tried to dismiss it, the memory stuck. Months later, in November 2005, Judy saw Amy Bradley’s parents appear on ‘The Dr. Phil Show’ and instantly recognized the woman she’d seen as Amy. She contacted the FBI, who investigated the lead, but the restaurant had no security cameras or additional evidence, and the trail went cold.
