Kara Leona is originally from Virginia and crossed paths with a cheerful young man of Venezuelan origin, Guillermo Rojer, while she was traveling to the Dominican Republic for work. As they began spending time together, their connection grew, and she decided to move to his country. Shortly after, they moved in together and got engaged as Guillermo popped the question. As he moved with Kara to Virginia under the K-1 visa to get married, it marked their first appearance on the show, documenting their cross-cultural clashes and the pressure of making it work. Ultimately, they got married on July 23, 2021, but soon faced major underlying issues.
Kara and Guillermo began wrestling with their career ambitions, which started to pull them in different directions. After tying the knot in July 2021, Kara and Guillermo officially stepped into a new chapter as new homeowners in Charlottesville, Virginia. Their life was filled with joy when their handsome baby boy, Nico, was finally born in the following December. Although they embraced parenthood with open arms, cracks began to show in their own relationship. By the time they appeared on the spin-off, the viewers noticed tension between them. They were struggling to communicate, and Guillermo expressed his dissatisfaction with Kara frequently going out for girls’ nights. While he accused her of cheating, she claimed he was “projecting.” During episode 10, Kara disclosed, “He (Guillermo) left. He moved out a few days ago.”
Kara had also said, “We’re both hoping this is just temporary.” Unfortunately, by the end of the season, Kara and Guillermo parted ways. Currently, they do not follow each other on Instagram. It is also essential to note that neither of them has the other’s pictures on their social media anymore, indicating that their relationship may have ended. Before moving to Virginia, Guillermo Rojer was honing his skills in the hospitality industry. When he first met Kara, he was working as a waiter and later stepped into the role of a Restaurant Manager at Turquesa Ocean Club Bar and Restaurant. From April 2019 to April 2021, he worked as an Account Manager in Punta Cana. However, when he moved to an entirely new country, he initially struggled to find stable employment. Ultimately, in January 2023, Guillermo secured a position as an Account Manager at Capri Cleaning and also worked as a Recruiter at Kelly. It was later revealed in the spin-off that he had left his job to pursue his goal of becoming a pilot. Beyond his professional endeavors, Guillermo has cultivated a strong online presence, with over 135K followers on Instagram.
The platform serves as Guillermo’s personal blog, chronicling his personal journey and showcasing his love for his son, Nico. From dressing up for Halloween to simply making memories during a pool day, their bond is truly unbreakable. In June 2025, the father-son duo spent their day kayaking, followed by a visit to the Virginia Safari Park in September. Guillermo often refers to Nico as his “best friend,” and their pictures together radiate warmth and closeness. Family has also remained another cornerstone of his life. When Kara Leona first met Guillermo, she was working as an Event Coordinator and Balloon-Garland Artist. However, after moving back to Virginia, she transitioned into a career in real estate, eventually becoming a licensed Realtor. However, her artistic spark never faded, and she moved forward to pursue her passion for music, particularly Bachata. Over time, Kara carved out a name for herself as a Bachata Singer and performer, gracing stages and collaborating with other artists. Her growing popularity is evident in her impressive Instagram community of 253K followers, where her content revolves around her professional life and fashion choices.
In March 2025, Kara released her song “Lento,” which she sang in collaboration with Jhonatan Lillo, AKA DJ Husky. It was followed by her appearance at the Tres Generaciones Tequila event. By April, she dropped another of her songs with DJ Husky, named “El Reloj.” One month later, Kara made her way to Kizz”me BachAmore Festival, where she gave the audience a demo of her and her friend’s Bachata workshop. In September 2025, the reality star sang the song “Criminal” and appeared in its music video alongside DJ Husky and Dimelo Cupido, which is available on YouTube and Spotify.
Outside of her creative pursuits, Kara continues to thrive as a Digital Creator, collaborating with popular brands like Halara and serving as an ambassador for Fashion Nova. On the personal front, she expressed her love for Nico on Mother’s Day, in part, writing, “My sweet boy, being your mother is the greatest joy I’ve ever known.” Yet, she has refrained from speaking publicly about her bond with her son.
