In Investigation Discovery’s ‘The Tech Bro Murders: Rich and Reckless,’ the primary focus is on the mysterious murder of 27-year-old Keith Green in the spring of 2016. When the tragic news broke out, it created a sense of terror across the community, while his loved ones were taken over by grief and loss. As the detectives tried to get to the bottom of the horrific killing, they were led to three suspects who had enough motive to commit the crime. However, the trials went through numerous ups and downs, delaying justice for Keith.
Keith Green Was a Devoted and Hardworking Father With a Bright Future Ahead of Him
Brian Keith Green and Colleen Kay Cudd welcomed their little bundle of joy, Keith Cameron Green, on July 19, 1988, in San Mateo, California. Growing up, he not only had the love and care of his parents but also the support of his brother, Julian R. Green-Williams, and sister Mariah Green. He obtained his early schooling from Baywood Elementary School and went on to enroll at Borel Middle School and Aragon High School for further studies. Growing up, he was known for his boundless energy and an innate talent for all things sport. His athletic prowess was put on full display at school across a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and tennis. He effortlessly made friends who cherished him for his warm and compassionate nature, which drew people to him.
One outlet of Keith’s artistic expression was styling footwear. As the years passed, he also developed a passion for the culinary arts. To hone his skills and deepen his knowledge of the craft, he had joined Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in San Francisco and was looking forward to his graduation in September 2016. When not working, he enjoyed golf. On the personal front, he was a single father to two adorable daughters, Vivienne Li and Nia, whom he considered his greatest blessings. He welcomed the two children with Tiffany Li, with whom he parted ways in 2015. Originally from Beijing, China, she hailed from an affluent Chinese family and lived with her mother in a grand estate in Hillsborough, California. While they never married, Keith and Tiffany created some beautiful memories while together.
Keith Green’s Remains Were Uncovered From a Field Weeks After He Went Missing
Since late 2015, Keith had been residing with Angela Dunn, a family friend, in Millbrae. The doting father was determined to give his kids a great life and was reportedly juggling two jobs to garner funds to get his own place, where he could raise his daughters. On April 28, 2016, the 27-year-old went out for some work around 10:15 pm after reportedly informing Angela. He was headed towards Millbrae Pancake House in the area, donning black sweatpants and a white shirt. When none of his loved ones could reach him even after a day had passed, they grew concerned. Furthermore, it was quite uncharacteristic of him to reportedly leave his wallet and car at home. Therefore, he was reported missing on April 29.
With no evidence around his place of residence, the police swiftly sprang into action. Keith’s friends and loved ones moved around town pasting missing posters in the hope of finding out any clue about his whereabouts. Later that day, a hiker found his phone lying on the ground in the Rose Garden at the heart of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. A few weeks later, on May 11, the remains of the San Mateo County resident were uncovered off Highway 101, along a dirt road near the exit of Lytton Springs Road, near Healdsburg. Reportedly, members of an outreach group stumbled upon the remains while offering support at a nearby homeless encampment and called the police. Keith had a bullet wound through his neck, leading the officials to determine a fatal gunshot to be the cause of his death.
Keith Green Was Alleged to Have Been Killed by Someone Close to Him
As the investigation progressed, the authorities delved deep into the personal life of Keith Green. They learned that he and his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Li, went through an unfriendly break-up, which stemmed from her alleged affair with his friend, Kavi. After severing ties in 2015, things worsened between them as they became embroiled in an intense custody battle over their two children, Nia and Vivienne Li. Moreover, the detectives found out that it was Tiffany whom he went to meet at the pancake restaurant on the night he went missing, to talk about their custodial battle. According to investigators, Tiffany allegedly described Keith as someone who was after her money to her new boyfriend, Kaveh Bayat, and their trainer, Olivier Adella.

Prosecutors alleged that the trio then allegedly hatched a plot to lure Keith to meet Tiffany and kill him, possibly due to Tiffany’s fear of losing the custody of her children. Thus, a few days after Keith’s remains were discovered, the authorities arrested Olivier at his house on Trousdale Avenue in Burlingame on May 20, 2016. The next morning, a SWAT team raided Tiffany’s house in Hillsborough, where they arrested her and her boyfriend, Kaveh. While Tiffany and Kaveh were charged with the murder, Olivier was charged with being an accessory to murder. Although he denied the charges, Kaveh was accused of shooting Keith and helping Tiffany set up a trap for him. However, Tiffany posted $35 million bail with the help of his friends, family, and business associates.
Tiffany Li, Kaveh Bayat, and Olivier Adella Were Not Proven Guilty of the Murder and Remain Free Individuals
As Tiffany Li pleaded not guilty to the charges against her, her trial began in September 2019, after several delays due to her reported cancer diagnosis. During her trial, the prosecution told the jury that Keith’s blood was found in her car and gunshot residue was found in her garage. Meanwhile, her defense said that the defendant had no involvement in the crime, arguing that he was killed in a kidnap-plot-gone-wrong, with which she had nothing to do. While the trial was ongoing, Keith’s mother, Colleen, reportedly filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her. It was eventually settled outside of court, with Tiffany agreeing to pay $5 million to her daughters, $100,000 to Colleen, and $50,000 to the estate for administering her daughters’ trust funds until they became adults.

The jury reportedly deliberated for 12 days before reaching a verdict. On November 15, 2019, Tiffany Li was acquitted of the murder charge against her. After the trial, Colleen stated, “She orchestrated all of this. I knew her for six years. She was evil. She was evil to me. She was evil to my son. Just evil.” As for Kaveh, his trial resulted in a hung jury as the jury became deadlocked over the charges of murder and conspiracy against him. Tiffany and Kaveh’s bodyguard, Olivier Adella, took a guilty plea and admitted to being an accessory after the fact and agreed to testify against Tiffany and Kaveh in court. As per his accounts, he claimed that he helped dispose of Keith’s remains but refused a $50,000 offer by the couple to kill Keith Green for them. Although he reportedly threatened a witness, he was released from jail on January 11, 2020.
However, Olivier was arrested again for making false statements in a passport application. It turned out that his real name is Mustapha Traore, who had immigrated to the US in 2002 using a fake name and date of birth. On March 9, he pleaded guilty to passport fraud, and on May 4, he was sentenced to six months in prison for passport fraud. As of today, all three individuals, Tiffany, Kaveh, and Olivier, who were linked to the murder of Keith Green, remain out of prison, while keeping their lives out of the public eye. Meanwhile, nobody has been convicted of killing Keith.
