In the episode titled ‘Obsession To Do Evil’ of Investigation Discovery’s ‘The Friday the 13th Murders,’ the primary focus is on the crimes committed by Kenneth Glenn Milner in and around Panhandle, Texas, in the name of a satanic ritual. After setting out to harm multiple people on Friday the 13th in July 1990, the police chased him down while he terrorized the entire town. Featuring insightful interviews with survivors and officials involved in the investigation, the documentary delves deeply into the entire ordeal and its profound impact on the people affected.

Kenneth Glenn Milner Committed Murder For a Satanic Ritual

Born around 1971, Kenneth Glenn Milner grew up in Panhandle, Texas. The documentary details that in his late teens, he reportedly entered into a romantic relationship, but after it ended, he considered taking his own life. As per reports, he climbed up on top of the water tower in the city and threatened to jump from there because of the breakup. Not long after that, he tried taking his life again by driving his car off the cliff of the Palo Duro Canyon, but he managed to survive the injuries he suffered, per the show. As a result, he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital to get treatment for his mental issues.

Upon getting discharged, he attended Panhandle High School, where he allegedly got offended by multiple people. With a desire to hurt others brewing inside him, Glenn made a kill list and developed a liking for ritualistic texts that revolved around satanic rituals and sacrifices. On July 13, 1990, he decided to act on it. At first, he lured a 17-year-old boy named Frankie Garcia to an isolated barn, where he allegedly recited an incantation before fatally shooting the teen in the head. Next, Glenn drove down to the residence of his ex-girlfriend’s stepfather, Jimmy Britten, in the town of Groom.

Armed with a razor or knife, Glenn ambushed Jimmy inside his house and slashed him with it in multiple areas of his body, including his neck and arm. However, Jimmy managed to force him out of the house and survive the ordeal. Then, in the early hours of July 14, he paid a visit to the principal of the high school, Ken Williams, in Panhandle. After hearing continuous knockings at his door, Ken looked outside through the peephole in his door. “And when I looked through the peephole, I saw yellow eyes. That’s all I saw. And I thought, ‘No, that can’t be right.’ So I kind of blinked my eyes and looked back through, and I saw the yellow eyes again. But then I saw Glenn Milner, the man that was standing there,” he told News Channel 10.

Soon, Glenn began firing multiple rounds through the door, striking Ken thrice with .357 Magnum hollow point bullets. While the authorities were desperately looking for him, he then parked his car right in front of the police station. As the police closed in on him, he had his gun pointed at his head, threatening suicide. However, he ended up surrendering himself and claimed that the reason he didn’t take his own life was that he forgot the proper incantation required to complete the ritual. During his interview, Glenn confessed to killing Frankie and attacking Ken and Jimmy at their respective houses. He told the detectives that he killed Frankie because he was required to kill a virgin before taking his own life.

Kenneth Glenn Milner is Currently Incarcerated at a Texas Prison Facility

In 1991, Kenneth Glenn Milner pleaded guilty to Frankie Garcia’s murder and attempted capital murder of Jimmy Britten and Ken Williams and avoided going to trial. For his crimes, he was sentenced to three consecutive life terms. After his sentencing hearing, he reportedly threatened Ken and his wife, telling them that he would “finish the job” if he got out of prison. Although he became eligible for parole in 2015, he was denied parole by a three-person parole board on November 24. On September 12, 2025, the parole board once again denied Glenn’s parole as they believed that he still posed a threat to the public.

Ken Williams shared a message for the killer, stating, “Don’t hurt anybody else ever in your life. You may be sitting there laughing what you’ve done to me. I don’t know what you’re thinking. I hope you’ve become a Christian and you’re better. I hope your life has changed, but I will never, ever suggest for you to get out of the penitentiary.” As of today, the 54-year-old man is serving his sentence at William P. “Bill” Clements Unit in Amarillo, Texas, while awaiting another parole review scheduled for the fall of 2030.
