Kimberly and Taurus: Where Are Is It Cake? Valentines Winners Now?

With Netflix’s ‘Is It Cake? Valentines’ being a special edition episode of one of the biggest reality baking competition shows of recent times, we get loved-up contestants taking on brand new challenges. The installment features bakers with their forever sweethearts as they create personally meaningful delectables in the hopes of tricking celebrity couple judges and walking away with incredible prizes. Among them are confectioner Kimberly “Kim” Hall and her loving husband, Taurus Adams, whose combined efforts earned them not only $5,000 in cash but also an all-expenses-paid cruise.

Kimberly and Taurus Adams Have Been Romantically Involved For Over a Decade

It was back around the mid-2010s when music enthusiasts Kimberly Hall and Taurus Adams first locked eyes at a local concert in their hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was working sound. They both felt an unwavering spark, driving the latter to slide into her inbox on social media upon realizing they already followed one another, thanks to their respective careers in the vast creative field. While his medium is a drum kit in the world of music, she has been a professional baker since the late 2000s, so his first message to her was a strategic inquiry about ordering a lemon coconut cake.

Although Kimberly and Taurus realized they had great chemistry even on text, it wasn’t until a year later that they went on their first date at The Wicked Hop for some grilled cheese and tomato soup. That’s when their relationship really began to blossom, especially as they found a lot of common ground in terms of not only their passions but also their core beliefs, daily values, and familial bonds. Thus, they soon moved in together, and it was in the backyard of their shared home that he eventually got down on one knee to ask her a question of a lifetime while surrounded by all their loved ones.

Kimberly and Taurus had initially planned a big wedding in Arizona, but the COVID-19 pandemic ended up pushing them to have a small yet beautifully cozy ceremony at the latter’s father’s house. It was on November 21, 2021, when they tied the knot, happily blending their families since they had children from previous relationships and wanted to make them part of their journey forward too. Since then, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, natives have been living in blissful matrimony, enjoying growing as individuals, as a couple, and as a family unit because they are now also proud grandparents.

Kimberly and Taurus Adams Continue to Hone in On Their Crafts

Kimberly was admittedly just a young girl when she first developed a keen love for baking, as she used to spend most of her free time in the kitchen alongside her caring, dedicated, supportive mother. She hence had the confidence to continue it as a steady hobby even as she grew older, graduated from high school, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Upper Iowa University. She also attended pastry school, yet that was reportedly long after she had made a 3D cake for a coworker, which led all her acquaintances, friends, and family to ask if she could make cakes for them too.

Kimberly did not set out to be a professional baker, but her efforts for those dear to her snowballed into an entire business, and she was soon leaving her mark on reality competition shows too. She made her debut on Food Network’s ‘Hometown Showdown’ in 2010 after her friends registered her without her knowledge, only for her to walk away as the winner. She has since featured in many other productions, including ‘Cupcake Wars,’ ‘Sugar Dome,’ ‘Halloween Wars,’ ‘Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking,’ and ‘Super Mega Cakes.’ In total, Kimberly has been in more than a dozen baking shows as of writing, but Netflix’s ‘Is It Cake? Valentines’ has arguably been the most special since she not only competed with her husband but also won $5,000 and their first honeymoon in the form of a cruise.

On a more business level, after gaining experience through such public endeavors against international talents, operating a small cake shop with a close friend, and owning a brick-and-mortar bakery, Kimberly is currently the sole proprietor of Signature Sweets Bakery. The self-taught professional operates the upscale establishment in Shorewood, specializing in 3D-sculpted, artistic, and custom cakes, while also dabbling in both traditional and non-traditional flavors. As if that’s not enough, the Business Journal 2023 Women of Influence even expanded her wings in 2025 by launching a flavored decaf coffee brand called Signature Sips. As for her humorous, supportive, and talented husband, Taurus is proud to serve as a Band Director at a local church, a drummer, as well as a DJ under the moniker DJBird. If you live in the Milwaukee area, you can hire the couple as separate vendors for any special occasion, and it seems like they will make it worth it.
