Kyle and Bridget: Is The Ultimatum Couple Still Together?

From the moment we first came across 30-year-old Kyle Neal and 29-year-old Bridget Matloff on Netflix’s ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love’ season 2, it was evident they share a beautiful bond. However, they had found themselves at a crossroads since the former was ready to take the next step and get married so as to start their life together, but the latter seemingly didn’t “understand the point.” This difference in such a core value between them was actually to such an extent that an ultimatum was issued, making it clear they somehow needed to get on the same page, and that too quickly.

Kyle and Bridget Truly Put in a Lot of Effort to Improve for One Another

It was around mid-2021 when Kyle and Bridget first came across one another on a dating app, not long after the former had moved to Los Angeles, California, only for them to feel an instant spark. The duo had admittedly ended their first date on a Saturday with their second already scheduled for the ensuing Tuesday, but Bridget texted her date on Sunday itself that their plans felt too far away. Therefore, they hung out on Sunday, on Tuesday, and then at least two more times that same week before realizing they had found their match. So, they soon made their relationship official.

Little did either Kyle or Bridget know that just the idea of a marriage would become a point of contention for them 2½ years later, especially with it being a non-negotiable for the former. As for the latter, because she believes in her love with her partner as well as the stability they share, she doesn’t get why they need to make things legal – it feels almost unnecessary to her. That’s how they ended up partaking in this Netflix original social experiment, where they broke up, got into a 3-week trial marriage with someone entirely new, and then went through it all again with each other.

While Kyle chose Pilar Dizon to be her trial partner despite being very aware of how similar she is to her original lover, Bridget embraced a trial marriage with the kind Ashley Johnson. Throughout the initial 3 weeks, the duo really did focus on their individual growth and how it can help their relationship in the long run, realizing that they always tend to avoid conflict. With this grasp as well as a newfound confidence in who they are, when they did reunite, they remained as authentic as ever to see if they still meshed well together, even with the one kiss Kyle and Pilar shared. Thankfull, all their efforts panned out in the way they had desired as Kule and Bridget walked away happily engaged.

Kyle and Bridget Still Seem to be Romantically Involved

Not only did Kyle and Bridget seem like the perfect match with how they wholeheartedly accepted one another through all insecurities and quirks, along with the way they opened up like never before during their trial marriage, it seems as if they actually are because they have made their romance work. In fact, the couple has since moved in together, only for the former to then take the lead in terms of establishing little traditions in their relationship while also ensuring their home stays clean. As per Bridget, “We do a Sunday check-in, we do a date night once a week, and we like to try somewhere new once a month. All of that is her doing. I give her a lot of credit for that. Neither one of us really cares as much about grand gestures. I think it’s just these smaller moments.” They don’t have a date for their wedding set as of writing, but Bridget has come around to the idea of it because she does want to spend the rest of her life with Kyle, so we can’t wait to see what’s in the cards for them next.

Kyle and Bridget Are Unwaveringly Dedicated to Their Respective Careers

With a Bachelor’s in Arts from Oberlin College as well as a Master’s in Graphic Design from Otis College of Art & Design, Kyle has really managed to build a successful career for herself. This high school athlete actually kickstarted her journey in 2015 as a Volunteer Head Coach for the Girls on the Run of Puget Sound, all the while also serving as an AmeriCorps School Nutrition Coordinator at Solid Ground. From there, she went on to work as an AmeriCorps Literacy Lead at Reading Partners from 2016 to 2017 before pursuing her further studies and finding herself evolving into a professional Graphic Designer.

It was in 2021 that Kyle landed a spot at Kr8 Agency as a Graphic Design intern, following which she served in a similar position at The Print Shop LA in 2023 while also undertaking some freelance work. March 2024 is when she was hired by Chris McGuigan for Muskegon County Commissioner as a full-time Graphic Designer, which is a position she proudly held for over 9 months. Since then, it appears as if this animal lover has been focusing on just three things: doing more freelance work

Coming to Bridget, she seems to be embracing all aspects of her life as of writing by delving deep into her interest in entertainment while also serving as a bartender to make ends meet. She actually holds a Bachelor’s in Comedy from New York University, and she’s a deeply passionate writer, so it comes as no surprise that she’s currently very interested in sketch comedy. Furthermore, she has experience as an Intern at Comedy Juice at Gotham Comedy Club as well as at Comedy Central and as a Writer at Don Buchwald & Associates, Nardagani Reading Program, and Duplass Brothers Productions. So, the fact that some of this Los Angeles, California resident’s hard work has made it to film festivals isn’t a shock either, and neither is the fact that she hopes to continue down this route to the best of her abilities.
