Laith and Danielle: Where are the What’s in the Box Contestants Now?

Netflix’s ‘What’s in the Box’ holds viewers’ attention through its fast-moving challenges and the balance it requires between chance and strategy. In the first season, one team was Laith and Danielle Wallschleger, who approached the competition with clear coordination and enthusiasm. Competing as a married couple, they relied on their familiarity with each other to make decisions quickly and stay aligned throughout the game. Their teamwork allowed them to navigate the rounds effectively, and they ultimately walked away with a prize they had specifically hoped to win.

Laith and Danielle Lost Their VIP NFL Tickets to Other Contestants

Laith Chaz Wallschleger and Danielle Wallschleger shared that they were planning to start a family. Their decision to join the season was driven by the idea of having one final shared adventure before entering the next phase of their lives, with the added possibility of winning amazing prizes. They were unable to compete in several early rounds, but when they finally entered the game, they made an immediate impact by winning VIP tickets to an NFL game day experience. The prize held special significance for Laith, a former football player. The package included four tickets, and they chose to share the remaining two with fellow contestants Binh Douglas and Andrew.

Later, Laith and Danielle faced Mary-Ashanti and Djennane in a prize fight, which they won, securing a year of daily DoorDash deliveries. Danielle noted the prize suited them well, as neither enjoyed cooking and she frequently ordered food. In a later twist, their NFL tickets were taken by Joey and Scott during a prize exchange round, a move they felt was unfair, though their other rewards remained protected. Although they did not advance to the finale, they left the competition satisfied with the prizes they retained and the experience they shared.

Laith Wallschleger is Making Huge Strides in His Career in the Entertainment Industry Today

Laith Wallschleger began his professional journey in athletics before transitioning into entertainment. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he attended St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School and graduated in 2010. A standout multi-sport athlete, he earned All-State honors in football and set school records, establishing himself as a high-level defensive end and tight end. In 2010, Laith enrolled at the University of Delaware, where he played for the Fightin’ Blue Hens football team. During his collegiate career, he set multiple school records, including blocked kicks and career field goal blocks. Despite suffering a season-ending ACL and meniscus injury in 2013, he remained academically consistent, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Theatre.

Laith later completed a Master of Business Administration in Finance in 2015 while concluding his football eligibility. Following graduation, he pursued professional football opportunities. In 2015, he attended the rookie minicamp with the Arizona Cardinals. He later played arena football, spending the 2016 season with the Jacksonville Sharks and a brief stint with the Washington Valor from 2017 to 2018. After his athletic career, he shifted fully toward acting. To formalize his transition, Wallschleger trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. By 2016, he began working professionally as an actor, voice actor, and stunt performer, signing with Good Shepherd Artists.

His television credits include guest appearances on ‘The Rookie,’ ‘NCIS,’ ‘All American,’ ‘MacGruber,’ and ‘The Me and You Show.’ He also appeared on the Food Network’s ‘Worst Cooks in America’ and performed stunt work in HBO’s ‘Paterno.’ In 2024, Wallschleger portrayed Rob Gronkowski in FX’s ‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’ and starred in the Lifetime film ‘Christmas in the Spotlight.’ Alongside on-camera roles, he built a substantial voice-acting career, providing commercial and character work for major brands and networks. In 2025, he voiced and performed motion capture for the character Sylux in the video game ‘Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.’ Laith continues to work across television, film, voiceover, and stunt performance, and has been getting many opportunities because of his industry versatility.

Laith and Danielle Wallschleger Are Excited About Making Many Memories in Their New Home

Danielle and Laith Chaz Wallschleger got engaged in 2022 and chose to take their time before marriage while aligning their personal and professional goals. Their wedding took place in May 2024 and was intentionally small, and it reflected their preference for privacy and a meaningful ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. Travel has now become a defining part of their life. As committed travel enthusiasts, they planned multiple trips across the year, beginning with Valentine’s Day in New York City. In April 2025, they visited Hawaii, followed by an extended travel through France and Italy in May. June 2025 saw them in St. Tropez, and in July, they spent time in Lake Tahoe.

These trips were structured around work schedules and served as deliberate pauses rather than spontaneous getaways. Later that year, in December 2025, they announced the purchase of a home in Winter Park, Florida. Alongside these milestones, both have spoken about relying on faith and prayer when making decisions. Their current focus is on building a grounded home life, continuing their careers, and planning for a family with intention rather than urgency.
