Where Was Murder at Highland Manor Filmed?

‘Murder at Highland Manor’ was filmed in its entirety in Scotland, especially in Bridge of Cally and Angus. According to reports, principal photography for the suspenseful movie got underway in February 2025 and continued for a few weeks before wrapping up in the first week of March of the same year. Brooke Burfitt took to social media and expressed her gratitude for being a part of the production. She stated, “That’s a wrap!! Finally getting to post some BTS now that a few fingers have defrosted. Thank you to such a wonderful team. Regardless of what went on in that manor, I still want to return to the beautiful Scottish Highlands.”

Bridge of Cally, Scotland

A major chunk of ‘Murder at Highland Manor’ was lensed in and around the small village of Bridge of Cally, which is situated in Scotland’s Perth and Kinross. The quaint charm of the village provided the film with the ideal setting. To be specific, the Persie House, which is located at the foot of Glenshee near Blairgowrie in Highland Perthshire, doubled as the Manor House, where Kate works as a live-in tutor. With the majestic Persie hills in the backdrop, the Edwardian country house is a luxurious holiday destination for families as well as large groups. Offering accommodation for about 24 guests, the estate also houses the Drawing Room, Study and Games Room, and the Conservatory. Many spaces of the Persie House, as well as its farm, were utilized by the filming unit for shooting purposes.

Angus, Scotland

For the purpose of filming, the cast and crew of ‘Murder at Highland Manor’ also visited a few places in Angus, a council area and historic county nestled on the east coast of Scotland. In particular, filming took place at Glen Clova Hotel & Lodges at Glenclova, Kirriemuir DD8 4QS. Situated at the foot of the picturesque Glen Doll in the Cairngorms National Park, the 19th-century 3-star hotel offers panoramic views of the surrounding Angus Glens, rolling hills, and the dramatic landscape of the Highlands stretching across the mountains. Inside the property, the team used the interiors of a traditional pub, Climbers Bar, to tape a few sequences. Its stone walls, cozy warm lighting, fireplace, and rustic wood interiors lent a timeless Scottish appeal to the Lifetime production.
