Paranoia is about to hit the screen in Lifetime’s newest offering! Moviedelic can confirm that the network has ordered the thriller TV movie ‘Wife Stalker,’ based on Liv Constantine’s 2020 novel ‘The Wife Stalker.’ Principal photography for the project is set to take place in January 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The plot centers on Joanna, an insecure wife who seeks to hold on to a desperate belief that her blissful family life with Leo, her husband, is unshakeable. However, when outside forces begin challenging Joanna’s ideal domestic existence, cracks start to develop, challenging the very basis of her relationship. To make matters worse, Joanna begins wondering if the consequences of these events are survivable for both her and Leo.

The original novel is laden with twists and a gripping narrative told through a dual point of view, one belonging to Joanna and the other, Piper, a mysterious new woman her husband, Leo, has become enamored with. As the narrative progresses, conflicting agendas and twisted personal affairs begin to sully the ground, adding an element of spice and intrigue into the mix. A key aspect of the book is its ability to sow distrust within the reader as central characters begin making morally dubious choices and decisions. The upcoming film adaptation is sure to benefit from these tense and taut psychological aspects, especially when paired with complex relationship dynamics and themes of loyalty, trust, betrayal, and secrets.

Liv Constantine is a pen name for sibling writer duo Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine. The two sisters are known for their highly enthralling and engaging plots, often delving into interesting characters with complex motivations and morally grey situations. They have garnered immense popularity through their works, which is exemplified by their place in the New York Times and International bestselling authors list, having sold over two million copies worldwide.  Their debut novel ‘The Last Mrs. Parrish’ is featured in the Reese Witherspoon Book Club selection and is currently being developed into a movie by Netflix. Its sequel, ‘The Next Mrs. Parrish,’ recently hit the bookshelf in June 2024, continuing the saga.

Atlanta is not just a filmmaking haven for Lifetime movies but for numerous projects owing to its diverse array of versatile and dynamic locations. Projects shot in the Hollywood of the South include ‘Tell Me Lies,’ FX’s comedy-drama series ‘Atlanta,’ Christian Gudegast’s ‘Den of Thieves,’ and Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams’ crime drama series ‘Ozark.’
