Macy and Jasmine: Where Are What’s in the Box Runner Ups Now?

The prizes on Netflix’s ‘What’s in the Box?’ are consistently large, setting a high bar for the competition and shaping how contestants approach each round. In season one, Macy Alexander and Jasmine Fambro teamed up. With an existing foundation and having worked together before, they felt that their familiarity would help them coordinate decisions and communicate effectively under pressure. Beyond strategy, they stood out for their energy and ease in the game and clearly enjoyed the experience. Their run ended with a prize that drew attention from other teams and became one of the most talked-about wins of the season.

Macy and Jasmine Won Two Electric Cars at the Beginning of the Season

Macy Alexander and Jasmine Fambro made an immediate impact on the season by winning one of the early rounds and won the highly sought-after two Lucid Air Pure electric vehicles. Because it was one of the most desirable prizes in the game, their early success quickly put them in the spotlight and, inevitably, made them a target. When Luke and Leona were given the opportunity to steal a gift, they chose Macy and Jasmine’s cars, a move the pair openly disliked and felt was unnecessary. Still, they stayed focused, knowing there would be chances to recover. That confidence paid off as they continued to build a strong collection of rewards.

Over the course of the competition, they secured a luxury stay at the Salterra Resort and Spa in Turks and Caicos and later won a $25,000 luxury luggage package paired with a Mediterranean cruise. That latter prize was eventually taken by Scott Linwell and Joey Linwell through a wildcard twist, but by then, Macy and Jasmine were in a stable position. Once their remaining prizes were locked in, they qualified for the finale and advanced to compete for the Superbox. Although they fell short of finding all three keys in time and ultimately lost to Joey and Scott, they left the competition satisfied.

Macy Alexander Has Taken a Break From Her Journalism Career

Macy Alexander is based in Atlanta, Georgia, where her work has centered on media, sports, and community engagement. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications from Ohio State University and completed her studies in 2006. Since then, she has maintained a strong connection to the university. She regularly attends Ohio State Buckeyes games and remains active within the alumni community. Macy is widely known in Atlanta for her work as a journalist and on-camera media personality with The Atlanta Voice. Through written coverage and video segments, she has reported on Atlanta sports, most notably the Falcons, as well as pop culture and local community events.

Her role often placed her in front-facing media assignments, helping translate sports and civic stories for a broader audience. Alongside this work, Macy has collaborated with organizations such as SCMBA, supporting initiatives focused on community development and professional networking. Before her journalism career, Alexander was part of the Atlanta Falcons organization as a cheerleader from 2013 to 2017, including participation during the team’s 2016 Super Bowl season. That experience kept her closely tied to the NFL alumni and Atlanta sports community, where she continues to appear at events and outreach programs connected to former players, cheerleaders, and local charities.

In January 2025, Alexander announced that she was stepping back from her media and journalism work, describing it as a pause rather than a permanent departure. Around the same time, she appeared on the ‘Quiet As Kept’ podcast, which focuses on candid conversations around mental health in Black communities and a general attitude towards healing in larger conversations. Outside of her professional life, Alexander remains closely connected to her family, especially her mother, and prioritizes time with friends and loved ones in Atlanta.
