Netflix’s ‘Star Search’ introduces the global audience to multiple young talents, among whom was Madison Lauren. The 11-year-old appeared on the show in episode 8, which was the second night of the Semifinals. She competed in the Junior Music Category as a challenger to the two-week winner, Yair Keydar, who was also a formidable contestant due to his vocal prowess. However, the moment Madison began singing “A Million Dreams” from ‘The Greatest Showman,’ her voice revealed breathtaking control and emotion. The judges praised her vocal power, and all three of them gave her a perfect five stars. With the decision ultimately resting in the hands of the viewers, her combined total reached 4.68. That crowned her the new winner of her category, and she moved on to the Finals while Yair’s journey on the show came to an end.
Madison Lauren Has Been Captivating Audiences Since She Was 2 Years Old
Madison Lauren began singing when she was just 2 years old, and by the following year, she even began performing publicly. Originally a Filipina from San Francisco, California, she has been winning hearts with her melodies across different music genres, including R&B, soulful pop, theater, rap, and jazz. On the show, the singer-songwriter shared that music is her passion. Simultaneously, Madison is skilled at playing instruments such as piano, guitar, and ukulele. In November 2025, Madison was visiting Maui, Hawaii, for a short trip to attend a wedding when she dazzled the audience at the Ohana’s Island Bistro & Music. That live performance further showcased her dedication to her art. As of writing, Madison often works as a singer for the Black Static band. In December 2025, Madison performed at the Lighted Boat Festival at Pillar Point Harbor. Furthermore, she was honored to perform the national anthem for the Filipino Heritage Game at the invitation of the Golden State Warriors. Around that time, Madison joyfully sang one of her original songs, “Christmas Bells,” which she recorded and performed live.
By January 2026, the competitor returned to her hometown for a live acoustic performance at Glenn Park alongside the Black Static band. Behind the scenes, her mother plays a vital role in nurturing her growing career by managing her social media presence on Instagram, where she currently has over 7.5K followers. Additionally, Madison’s musical journey is also shared on TikTok, where over 81.4K followers witness her talent. Her mother also runs a YouTube channel chronicling Madison’s progress and performances. Beyond traditional singing, Madison finds interest in singing with her puppets, Amber and Emily, further proving the extent of her creativity.
