In NBC’s ‘Dateline: The Target’ and ‘Dateline: Take Two,’ the primary focus is on the murder-for-hire plots orchestrated by a successful podiatrist named Ira Bernstein against his estranged wife, Susan Bernstein. In the first attempt to have her killed, Ira, alongside his then-girlfriend Kelly Gribeluk, approached the latter’s friend, Marckensy Louissaint, and tried to hire him to carry out the murder for them. Little did they know that Marckensy later began working undercover with the police to incriminate the murderous couple.
Marckensy Louissaint Cooperated With Police to Get Ira and Kelly Arrested
When Ira Bernstein and his girlfriend, Kelly Gribeluk, were planning to kill the former’s estranged wife, Susan Bernstein, Kelly got in touch with one of her friends, Marckensy Louissaint, a car salesman at a luxury car dealership, and asked him to carry out the murder and beating of two insurance investigators who were investigating Ira for insurance fraud. Instead of working with them, he reported the situation to the police. He collaborated with the authorities to gather enough evidence against Ira and Kelly by pretending to be their ally. He was offered $100,000 to get rid of Susan by running her down with a car and making it look like an accident. Thus, Marckensy played a vital role in preventing Susan’s assassination and bringing both Ira and Kelly to justice.
