Maria Luiza Brufatto: Where is the Love is Blind Brazil Star Now?

With Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind Brazil: It’s Never Too Late’ living up to the reputation of its parent production and all its variations, we get a reality dating series that is simply gripping. The only difference this time around is the fact that all cast members hoping to find love sight unseen before deciding if they are indeed ready for forever or not are above the golden age of 50. Amongst them is Maria “Malu” Luiza Brufatto, who came onto season 5 with an open heart as well as an open mind, resulting in her walking away with several significant friendships.

Though Maria Brufatto Didn’t Find Love, She Found a Community

The moment 63-year-old Maria Brufatto first came across our screens, it was evident that she is a girl’s girl since she was more inspired by her fellow participants, rather than threatened. “All the women here are absolutely amazing,” she candidly asserted in a confessional. “We’re all just really happy, having lots of fun,” while making efforts to find a true connection. Unfortunately, though, it became clear to her on day one itself that none of the male suitors on the other side of the pods in this experience were for her because her every date just fell flat.

Maria was actually married for over 23 years, during which she welcomed two beautiful kids into the world, but time eventually took its toll on the couple until they separated for good. When she realized her union was over, she admittedly didn’t think she would ever find love again, yet she gradually worked on herself to garner a genuine hope of companionship again. She proudly maintained this hope even after her bad luck in this experiment, so she essentially turned into a commentator to give us an insight into all the other bonds/love triangles going on in the pods. She honestly won the hearts of viewers across the globe just through her candid yet quirky observations.

Maria Brufatto Has Taken Entrepreneurship to a Whole New Level

While Maria hasn’t recently been successful when it comes to her love life, that’s not at all the case for her professional standing because she is thriving as an entrepreneur-philanthropist. However, starting from her early days, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul graduate (Bachelor’s in Portuguese and English Linguistics as well as Master’s in Applied Linguistics in English Language Teaching) actually kickstarted her career in 1997 as a Sales Director at Solarium Coatings. She served there for over 11 years before deciding to continue honing her skills as a Sales Manager at Giroflex SA until 2011 and then as a Sales Manager at Cast Solutions until 2014.

Maria subsequently chose to shift gears into much more administrative and executive roles, resulting in her becoming the New Business Manager at Bellinzoni until May 2015. From there, she went on to work as the Director of Franchise Expansion at Franquiaz until August 2021, all the while also dabbling in entrepreneurship with her own consultancy brand. She reportedly launched Francquiaz Network Expansion in 2019, offering clients across Brazil and the US her specialized skills of engagement, networking, product presentation, and training, all of which she acquired through experience.

Therefore, considering all of these are aspects Maria is extremely passionate about, the 63-year-old continues to own-operate her brand and dedicate every sense of her being to her career. She is currently based out of São Paulo, where she is not only surrounded by family at every step of the way, but is also a volunteer at Amigos Do Bem (Friends for Good). Through this, she helps provide access to healthcare, education, housing, jobs, and water to those in need in the Northeastern backlands, all the while also pursuing her passion for travel. The rising public figure has been to several countries across South America and Europe alongside close friends and loved ones, and she seems to have no intention of stopping anytime soon. So, it appears as if whenever the dog mom is not working or volunteering, she is spending quality time with loved ones while undertaking new adventures.
