It was July 22, 2015, when Dr. Mary Louise Bakert Yoder sadly passed away at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, leaving all her loved ones baffled to the core. That’s because, as explored in NBC’s ‘Dateline: Poison Twist,’ the 60-year-old chiropractor was a vision of health until she suddenly started feeling uneasy, even telling her husband she may have a stomach bug. She went to the hospital the very next day as her health deteriorated, and then, a day later, she passed away suddenly and in agony while being surrounded by her husband and their three adult kids.
Mary Yoder Lived a Fulfilling Life With Her Family in New York
Although not much information on William Yoder’s early years or experiences is publicly available, we do know he first came across the love of his life and future wife, Mary, while studying. They were both pursuing a chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College when they first came across one another, only to quickly hit it off despite him being a year her senior. Their love persisted in time, tests, and the outside world, too, resulting in them eventually tying the knot and happily settling down in Buffalo, New York, where they also welcomed three kids into this world.
Mary and William had Liana, Tamaryn, and Adam Yoder, and by the time their kids were adults, they had decided to move on from their respective practices to establish their own family-run clinic. This clinic was located in Whitesboro under the name Chiropractic Family Care, and everything seemed idyllic for the family until 2015. After all, that’s when Mary knew she had to go to the hospital, from where her husband called their children to let them know they should come over as something was wrong. She passed away surrounded by family.
Mary Yoder’s Husband and Son’s Behavior Following Her Demise Raised Some Suspicions
Since Mary and William seemed to have an incredibly loving and happy marriage, it came as a shock to the world when it came to light that he had moved on within months. As if that’s not enough, what people found even stranger was that he had done so with one of her sisters and had reportedly even moved in with her a short while later, raising eyebrows. After all, by this point, her autopsy report had determined that she had died not of natural causes or a stomach bug but from colchicine poisoning, one that had to be administered to her from outside.

All the suspicions against him were eventually brought to a close as there was no form of evidence against him and because his only son’s then-girlfriend, Kaitlyn Conley, seemed far more. The truth is there were some doubts about Adam, too, since it had been reported that he was a man who preferred to lead a life of luxury, so many hypothesized he could have possibly killed his own mother in greed. But then all the signs pointed towards his then-girlfriend and Mary’s ex-employee, and it came to light that she had actually killed Mary so as to frame her then-on-again-off-again boyfriend.
Mary Yoder’s Husband and Kids Prefer to Lead Quiet Lives Today
Owing to the tragedy of Mary’s death as well as the circumstances around it, the entire Yoder family has since preferred to stay well away from the limelight. They were present when Kaitlyn was tried, convicted, and sentenced for murder, but they have since not been seen in the limelight in any way, shape, or form. Therefore, all we know is that they all still seem to reside in New York to this day, where they are keeping the memories of their mother alive by living up to her true legacy as a family woman.

William is reportedly still a practicing chiropractor in Whitesboro, Brooklyn, whereas Adam has since made it clear that the only guilt he has concerning the matter is ever introducing Kaitlyn to his mother. Since then, it appears as if he has moved on to build his own life with the support of loved ones, and he likely leads a simple yet comfortable life at the moment. As for Liana and Tamaryn, they have actually since followed in their mother’s footsteps to settle down and become proud, independent, working family women. Liana has been happily married to Tony Hegde for a while now, whereas Tamaryn has been building a life with Dave Gravelding for over a decade. Together, the three Yoder kids seem to have 7 kids between them at the moment, meaning they really are dedicating their lives to their families at the moment.
