Megan Keno: Where is Next Level Chef Season 4 Runner Up Now?

Season 4 of Fox’s ‘Next Level Chef’ has brought forth a talented blend of professional chefs, social media cooks, and home chefs before the viewers. Megan Keno was one of the self-taught home chefs who quickly set herself apart from the others. Without the backing of any formal culinary training, she relied completely on her passion, creativity, and resilience to face the show’s high-pressure challenges. Megan ultimately earned a spot among the top three, which made her journey even more inspiring. Although she finished as a runner-up, her time in the competition proved that she truly was a culinary expert.

Megan Keno Efficiently Balances Her Career in Construction and Digital Creation

Before Megan Keno stepped into the spotlight as a finalist on the show, she was already creating a life full of passion and persistence. Her professional journey commenced long before her culinary skills began to flourish. Megan graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Washington State University. During this time, she immersed herself in Competitive Timber Sports. As a professional Lumberjack, she competed in chainsawing events, caber tossing, and many more. In December 2008, Megan began her career as a Field Office Administrator at Jacobs Engineering.

Megan steadily rose through the ranks over the next 16 years at the organization and earned positions like Assistant Project Manager and Office Engineer. However, there is another side to her that is not confined to job titles or lumberjacking. Around 15 years ago, Megan began experimenting in the kitchen, teaching herself culinary skills that would shape her second identity as a home chef and digital creator. She started a YouTube channel and posted her first video sometime in 2012. From then on, the chef began uploading glimpses of her personal life and simple recipe videos, turning her passion into a powerful online presence.

Megan expanded her content to Instagram, where she now has over 29K followers. On the platform, she consistently shares snippets from her daily life, alongside detailed and delicious recipes. Some of the fan favourites include her coronation chicken egg salad, high protein chicken, and peanut noodles, and many more. She has also been actively using the platform for paid collaborations and promotions with brands like Meati and the Washington State Beef Commission. In addition to this, Megan has also garnered a large fan base on Facebook and boasts over 52K followers.

Megan Has Been Thriving as a Food Blogger and Has Written Two Cookbooks

Megan has not kept herself restricted to her fame on social media platforms. The chef has also continued her love for food blogging by being the CEO of Homemade Home. It is a blogging website where she posts recipes for appetizers, breakfast, desserts, salads, and many more. Through the platform, she hosts giveaways, publishes product reviews, and offers sponsored posts for her clients. Additionally, the visitors can shop for home and kitchen line items created by Megan. They feature multiple items, ranging from mugs and stickers to tote bags and hoodies. In 2017, Megan had reached another milestone with the publication of the cookbook ‘Cast Iron Gourmet.’

However, when Megan’s publisher discontinued the book, she took matters into her own hands. In January 2025, she successfully relisted it as a self-published hardcover book. It is now available on her website and on the Amazon store for purchase. She also has an e-book titled ‘Scaled Down Celebrations.’ The chef has also been actively indulging in a dining experience that has brought together some of her former contestants in cities across her home country. In April 2025, Megan announced that their upcoming Washington event seats had sold out within eight hours. The dinner has a theme of Pacific Northwest ingredients fused with South American flavors and is being conducted on June 7, 2025. Aside from this, Megan has been featured on the Studio 13 Live show in April.

Megan Finds Immense Joy in Creating Memories With Her Family

Beyond her culinary creations, Megan’s heart lies firmly with her family. In August 2012, she married the love of her life, Ben, who originally comes from a farm. Their relationship has been a source of happiness and support in her world of accomplishments. Over the years, the two of them have built not just a home, but also a beautiful life based on mutual respect and unending love for one another. In August 2024, the couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, evidently showing how much they mean to each other. Megan and Ben have welcomed their two sons, Harrison and Emmett, into their world with immense joy. Her entire world revolves around them, and she never forgets to showcase her affection for them on her social media. Whether it be sharing glimpses of a joyous Christmas evening or Emmett’s first day of school, she always loves to flaunt her cherished memories with them.

Megan loves spending the lazy days baking cookies or experimenting with new fun recipes in the kitchen, accompanied by her sons. She also has a small farm in her house where she grows vegetables and even raises chickens. The family’s visit to Ben’s hometown is more than just a getaway for her. Megan feels it to be an opportunity to reconnect and immerse themselves in the values of their family. Besides this, the family also has an adorable pup in their life, Cocoa. Megan never misses a chance to pamper her furry companion and always showers him with love. She finds joy in watching things bloom, especially the plants which gradually grow from her relentless efforts in gardening. Above everything, Megan is living her dream life and enjoying the simplest moments.
