When Mel Vitale agreed to partake in Netflix’s ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love’ season 2 alongside her girlfriend of 4 years Marie Angeline, she never expected for it to be an emotional rollercoaster. She knew in her heart that as the ultimatum receiver, she’d have to do soul-searching and grow as an individual to see what she wanted her future to look like, but she didn’t think it could really possibly involve someone else entirely. She did understand what she was getting into, but Magan Mourad’s original partner, as well as ultimatum issuer, Dayna Mathews, still came out of left field for her, leading to a messy trial marriage.
Mel and Dayna’s Connection Transcended Boundaries

Not only did they talk until 5 am on their first night and later choose to undertake all chores together, but they also gradually realized their connection was becoming much more emotional. Therefore, by the end of their 3 weeks, they had seemingly gone all the way physically and even gotten matching tattoos. Yet, they initially weren’t really open about these blurred lines with their original partners.
Mel and Dayna Are Likely Still in Each Other’s Lives
Neither Mel nor Dayna has explicitly confirmed or denied anything regarding their relationship status as of writing —either with one another or their original partners — but it seems clear how things have panned out. From what we can tell, Magan and Dayna have parted ways for good owing to all the significant issues between them, yet Mel and Marie have seemingly managed to make their romance work. The 27-year-old was terrified of the idea of marriage, unlike her girlfriend of 4 years, only for Dayna to open her up to her by pointing out that her fear was not necessarily a bad thing since it could make her a great wife.
Therefore, it seems like even though she had learned to love the 25-year-old in some capacity, she still chose Marie in the end because of their long history as well as the sense of comfort and stability between them. Nevertheless, considering all their intense experiences, it seems like Mel and Dayna are still in touch today, yet only as close platonic friends — it’s unconventional, but it apparently works well for them.

Residing in Orlando, Florida, Mel takes immense pride in being a chef who owns and operates her own food truck alongside Marie Angeline, which they established in 2022. Named Royal-T Tapas, the business promises not only daring bites but also unique flavors, so it comes as no surprise that the menu comprises some original dishes and some seasonal specials, sprinkled with a variety of vegetarian options, refreshing drinks, as well as sweets. Coming to Mel’s personal standing, whenever she is not working, she likes to spend quality time with her chosen family, comprising some great, supportive friends, while also traveling the world. Most recently, she went on a cruise to the Dominican Republic, but her favorite destination appears to be Paris, France.
As for Dayna, this Detroit, Michigan, resident is currently thriving in the corporate world as a Relationship Manager, all the while trying to embrace her newfound standing as a public figure. In fact, she seems determined to make a name for herself as a digital creator these days by taking up all significant opportunities to come her way with arms wide open.
