Helmed by Peter Benson, Hallmark’s ‘Mr. & Mrs. Christmas’ brings together two co-workers who, at first glance, could not be more different from each other. Taylor Lewis is a single father and holiday display expert who moves to the town of Pineway with his two children just weeks before Christmas, and Sophie Shaw is a practical accountant hoping to prove that she is ready for a leadership role. As the two characters clash over ideas and actions, something more romantic begins to brew between them, and the overall festive mood only seems to make the process more potent. While their love story might be a sight to behold, one shouldn’t forget that Pineway is a fictional town, and a lot of creative work went into making this story come to life.
Mr. & Mrs. Christmas Filming Locations
‘Mr. & Mrs. Christmas’ was filmed in British Columbia, with the crew mainly setting up camp in Langley, while also working in the larger Vancouver area. The production reportedly kicked off in 2026 under the working title ‘Father Christmas,’ with filming listed from June 22 to July 13. The roughly three-week filming window falls in the summer, despite the movie’s wintry setting, which means that the crew had to improvise and use technology to create an immersive effect, much like its sibling film ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.’
Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
The Langley area, located at the eastern edge of the Metro Vancouver regional district, served as the primary filming location of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Christmas,’ with several real-life locations and businesses from the area becoming a part of the story. One such place is the iconic OTREAT Brunch + Bistro, located at Unit 509, 8840 210 Street, in Langley Township’s Mountain View Plaza. The restaurant is popular for its aesthetics and food, and it is no surprise that the crew decided to take over the location for its July 2026 shoot.

Reportedly, filming also took place around Fort Langley’s historic village center, including Glover Road, Fort Langley Community Hall at 9167 Glover Road, and the former Langley Centennial Museum at 9135 King Street. Other reported locations include Fort Langley National Historic Site at 23433 Mavis Avenue, Burnaby Village Museum at 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, where additional indoor scenes were likely filmed. All of these locations weren’t just selected at random, but were chosen to place the movie in a historically and culturally rich setting that fits in with the overall festive vibe. Alongside practical, on-site filming, the crew likely also relied on elaborate soundstages for bringing the indoor sequences to life.
Mr. & Mrs. Christmas Cast Details
Pascale Hutton and Brendan Penny lead this Hallmark romance story with a strong supporting cast that drives the narrative forward. Neither Hutton nor Penny are strangers to Hallmark productions, but their experience in the industry also spans beyond that. Hutton, for instance, serves as a co-producer on ‘You Had Me at Aloha’ alongside her longtime Hallmark co-star Kavan Smith. Penny is also an avid sportsman on top of being an actor, and has listed hockey, tennis, surfing, and snowboarding among his favorite activities.
Pascale Hutton as Sophie Shaw
Pascale Hutton spearheads the project as Sophie Shaw, an ambitious accountant determined to demonstrate that she can take on greater responsibility in an ever-evolving workspace. Hutton has long been a familiar face to Hallmark audiences, particularly through her portrayal of Rosemary Coulter in ‘When Calls the Heart.’ She also appears as Paige in ‘You Had Me at Aloha,’ Isabelle in ‘Notes of Autumn,’ and Molly White in ‘The Perfect Bride’ and its sequel, ‘The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells.’ Away from Hallmark’s romantic features, the actor is famous as Sharon in the thriller ‘Double Life.’ Her work in ‘Mr. and Mrs. Christmas’ brings her back to the holiday sub-genre that she is excellent at, this time with a new, multifaceted character.
Brendan Penny as Taylor Lewis
Brendan Penny takes on the role of Taylor Lewis, a single father and holiday display expert who moves to Pineway with his children just weeks before Christmas. The actor is a known face in the world of television, particularly because of his portrayal of Kevin O’Brien in Hallmark’s ‘Chesapeake Shores’ and Detective Brian Lucas in the crime series ‘Motive.’ He also features as AJ Varland in ‘Whistler’ and Luke Bennett in ‘Pride, Prejudice & Mistletoe.’ With Hallmark, the actor is perhaps best known for the ‘Vineyard’ trilogy, where he essays Nate DeLuca in ‘Summer in the Vineyard,’ ‘Autumn in the Vineyard,’ and ‘Valentine in the Vineyard.’ As such, Penny’s role in this film is specifically in line with his forte as a creative artist.
Besides the two leads, the cast includes Miles Marthaller as Arlo, Jude Wilson as Justin, Erik Gow as Paul Gitlin, Joshua Black as Noah, Maesa Nicholson as Lily, Mia Golden as a teller, Trynitie Prinn as a barista, Rebecca Shoichet as a keychain vendor, Sam Darkoh as a hip-looking DJ, RJ Hart as Board Chair Tate, Ronald Dario as a bubble tea vendor, Veronica Scozzafava as Young Jenna, Emmett Greczi as Young Arlo, and Alex MacIsaac as Gwendolyn. While the overarching story may be that of a romance between two people, it is these characters who truly flesh out this world and make it as immersive as possible.
