The Patricia Frontain directorial, Lifetime’s ‘Murder in Nashville,’ revolves around a young woman named Eden Perry, who relocates to Nashville to start her life afresh. Her new beginning is also marked by her encounter with a charming local man named Jax Callahan. He happens to be the son of Burt Callahan, a wealthy and popular figure in the country music scene. Attracted to each other, the two begin seeing each other. But it is only later that some dark familial matters make their lives a living hell.
On one hand, Eden and Jax are falling deeper in love with one another. On the other hand, several women start turning up dead around them as some long-buried secrets unravel, pulling her into deeper complications. The thriller film follows Eden in Nashville, which is portrayed as a land of new opportunities for her. However, as the plot progresses, the city gradually transitions into something mysterious and dark, posing as an additional character.
Murder in Nashville Filming Locations
The shooting of ‘Murder in Nashville’ was conducted entirely on location in Tennessee, especially in and around the Nashville metropolitan area. Under the working title ‘Southern Charmed,’ the principal photography reportedly got underway in early September 2024 and continued for a couple of weeks before getting wrapped up in the same month. One of the cast members, Sarah Zanotti, opened up about her experience on set. She said, “I had such a good time making this movie. Thank you to everyone involved 🙏🏼 I made new friends, did my own stunts lol, and got to do what I love for 3 weeks in my own city.”
Nashville Metropolitan Area, Tennessee
Most of the pivotal sequences for ‘Murder in Nashville’ were taped in the Nashville metropolitan area, located in north-central Tennessee. For the first day of shooting, the production team reportedly set up camp in the city of Mount Juliet, where they lensed various important exterior scenes. The following day, they traveled to the county seat of Williamson County — Franklin. From the looks of it, the cast and crew members took over a local property to record some key indoor portions.
On the last day of the shooting process, the production team of the Lifetime thriller was spotted in different parts of the city of Columbia, which is the seat of Tennessee’s Maury County. The principal city of the metropolitan area — Nashville — also reportedly served as a production location. For shooting purposes, the makers also traveled south of Nashville to the unincorporated community of Arrington, situated near Franklin in Williamson County.

Sarah Zanotti, Nick Puya, and Corbin Timbrook bring the story of ‘Murder in Nashville’ to life through their stellar performances. Although known for her acting career, Sarah is also a writer as she has written the scripts for ‘The Unraveling,’ ‘Faye,’ and ‘Rattled.’ Interestingly, she also stars in the former two films. On the other hand, Corbin has won several accolades over the course of his career, including the Silver Ace Award and Golden Ace Award at Las Vegas International Film Festival. Being a filmmaker, he has also directed movies like ‘Stepmom from Hell,’ ‘Do You See Me,’ and ‘Divorce Texas Style.’
