The otherworldly tale of Natalie Suleman, also known as Nadya Suleman, will return to our screens! Moviedelic has learned that a television film titled ‘I Was Octomom — The Natalie Suleman Story’ is reportedly in development. The TV movie will start filming in Vancouver, British Columbia, on September 16. Brianne Nord-Stewart (‘The Dangers of Online Dating’ and ‘Two Chefs and a Wedding Cake’) is at the helm. The cast of the upcoming project has yet to be officially announced, and no network has been attached to the production.
Natalie Denise Suleman, born on July 11, 1975, became internationally recognized when she gave birth to octuplets in January 2009, a rare and groundbreaking event that garnered significant media attention. Dubbed “Octomom” by the press, she sparked widespread debate about the ethics and practices of assisted reproductive technology. The fact that she conceived all of her octuplets, as well as her six older children, through in vitro fertilization (IVF) led to intense public scrutiny and raised questions about fertility treatments. The situation eventually prompted an investigation by the Medical Board of California into the actions of the fertility doctor responsible for her care.
In 2009, a documentary titled ‘OctoMom: Me & My 14 Kids’ was released, directed and narrated by Luke Campbell. The project provides an intimate look at her day-to-day struggles and experiences raising 14 children, exploring the media frenzy surrounding her and the challenges of balancing her personal and family life.
In addition to her role as a mother, Suleman ventured into acting, appearing in the horror film ‘666: The Devil’s Child,’ directed by Kevin Clark and Manzie Jones. The movie centers on two friends who connect with a woman online and visit her remote home. Upon arrival, they begin to experience bizarre and unsettling occurrences, soon realizing that the person they have come to meet is far from what they expected. In the film, Suleman portrays Vanessa, a mysterious figure at the center of the eerie events, and she stars alongside Chanon Finley and Jeff Kongs.
