Who is Claudette? Who Plays Her in NCIS Tony & Ziva?

The universe of ‘NCIS’ and its many spin-offs remains expansive, with each project sporting a variety of interesting characters. The Paramount Plus show ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ introduces many new faces to the franchise as it centers around the new lives of former federal agents Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. The duo, turned into star-crossed lovers due to life’s complicated circumstances, are living in Paris. Their relationship remains limited to amicable and friendly co-parents who remain in each other’s orbit via their little girl, Tali. Thus, as the show starts, Ziva is no longer Tony’s go-to partner in crime-solving. Instead, he seems to have teamed up with Claudette, a tech whiz who is on his payroll as a top employee at his security firm. Naturally, the new character and her dynamic with the agents remain a point of intrigue.

Claudette Works Alongside Tony at His Private Security Firm

In ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva,’ neither of the titular characters is actually an NCIS agent any longer. Instead, they’re both pursuing a new life for themselves in Paris, France, allowing their daughter, Tali, a shot at a life of normalcy and stability. Nonetheless, the line of work Tony inevitably ends up in more than compensates for the thrill of his old job. In Paris, the father opened a private security company, Salus Mondiale. Claudette, a young woman with incredible cyber skills, serves as the Chief Technical Officer. She remains a highly competent member of the team and one of the only people whom Tony can freely rely upon. For the same reason, when trouble inevitably knocks on her boss’ door, Claudette is the first trusty person to call.

Soon enough, Tony and Ziva’s mysterious adversaries, one of whom is Martine, an Interpol agent by day and cybercriminal by night, set their sights on Claudette as well. Thus, the hacker also ends up having to go on the run, dodging bad guys across Europe while simultaneously covering up her and her friends’ digital tracks. Yet, she retains her aversion to breaking the law in any significant way. Fortunately for Tony, circumstances have introduced him to another hacker: Boris, the inventor of digital weapon 9.4. This creates a compelling dynamic between the two hackers, who end up as allies despite having little in common. Additionally, another subplot swirls around Claudette, whose girlfriend, Sophie, is Tali’s nanny, tasked with the responsibility of keeping the child safe while her parents are on the run. Thus, her character and her storylines remain riveting inclusions to the show’s center ensemble.

Amita Suman Plays the Role of Claudette in NCIS: Tony & Ziva

It takes a certain calm, cool, and collectedness to navigate the tense, high-stakes industry of private security, especially if you’re doing so with Tony DiNozzo as your boss. Fortunately for Claudette, her poker face has been perfected alongside her computer skills, making her the perfect addition to the former federal agent’s chaotic life. Amita Suman, a British actress who was born in Bhedihari, Nepal, embodies this effortless poise with expertise. The actress found her start in the world of acting shortly after attending London’s drama school, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. She debuted on the screen in 2015 with the short film ‘Girl Like You.’

Afterward, Suman continued to land roles in various TV shows like ‘Casualty,’ ‘Ackley Bridge,’ and even the fan favorite sci-fi series’ Doctor Who,’ in which she plays the role of a one-off character named Umbreen. Similarly, she also went on to act in ‘The Sandman,’ as Nora, the college student. Yet, undoubtedly, her biggest break arrived with Netflix’s ‘Shadow and Bone,’ a book-to-TV adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse fantasy book series. In the show, she plays the prominent role of Inej Ghafa. With ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva,’ Suman adds another beloved fandom to her filmography. With more exciting projects in store for the future, including Anthony Meindl’s ‘Memento Mori,’ the actress continues to blaze a promising path ahead!
