Nina Morić: Where is Fabrizio Corona’s Ex-Wife Now?

Directed by Massimo Cappello, Netflix’s ‘Paparazzi King’ is a documentary series that chronicles the life of Italian entrepreneur and media personality Fabrizio Maria Corona through an unfiltered lens. It incorporates not only archival footage but also exclusive interviews with more than 20 individuals to really underscore all his professional endeavors, his sense of morality, and who he is on the inside. His ex-wife, Nina Morić, is thus a significant part of the original, especially considering she was someone with whom he was deeply involved on both a personal and professional level for nearly a decade.

Nina Morić Rose to Prominence as an International Supermodel in the 1990s

It was on July 22, 1976, when Nina Morić was born into an upper-middle-class household in Zagreb, Croatia, enabling her to dream big and pursue her passions to the best of her abilities. She thus enrolled in law school upon graduating from high school, all the while also dabbling in the world of entertainment as a model in the hopes of garnering early success to prove her mettle. Unfortunately, she admitted that she didn’t have a great relationship with money or reputation due to her background, as she believed they were a means of love and respect, only to realize later on that they should be unconditional.

Nevertheless, since Nina actually loved the idea of being in front of cameras, she didn’t hesitate to be a part of a music video by local artist Tony Cetinski in 1995. Little did she know it would open many more doors for her, including a spot in the 1996 Croatian Elite Look of the Year modeling competition, wherein she placed third overall. That same year, she was even crowned Miss Croatia before signing with the Midiken Talent Agency, paving a new, independent path for herself at the age of 20. Subsequently, she dropped out of college and soon relocated to Los Angeles, California.

The ensuing few years for Nina were a definite whirlwind, as she was able to reach new heights as an aspiring artist, fashion model, and overall performer. That’s because she was cast in Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca” music video in 1999, released a single of her own that same year, and was later in talks to be the female lead in the sequel to ‘The Mask’ (1994). However, the movie never panned out owing to actor Jim Carrey eventually parting ways with it, and her music career also didn’t take off owing to a lack of commercial success. She did wonders as a model, though, working with several big-name brands/designers, including Rocco Barocco, Versace, and Valentino, among many more.

Nina Morić Admits to Having Some Regrets About Her Union With Fabrizio Corona

With Nina’s stint in the US providing her insight into what a career in entertainment entails, she chose to relocate to Italy around the late 1990s/early 2000s for a more balanced life. That’s when she first came across Fabrizio Corona, only for their first encounter in a club as strangers to leave her baffled since he had two Scandinavian-looking women in his arms. Neither of them had any idea they would bump into one another again at a cigarette shop not long after, where he managed to charm her into agreeing to a date that same evening. Thus began their intense involvement.

According to Nina’s account in the aforementioned original, she had such great chemistry with Fabrizio that she grew to trust him almost implicitly before they even became exclusive. He also became her manager, so a significant portion of their relationship allegedly revolved around her shoots for various brands, collaborations with designers, public appearances, and more. She has since claimed she often felt overworked, yet she was so head over heels in love that she often inadvertently overlooked his need for success through her, even at the cost of her joy.

In the documentary series, Nina alleged that she fell pregnant with twins during her initial months with Fabrizio, claiming he urged her to get an abortion because of their busy schedules. She further claimed he didn’t believe they were ready in any capacity to welcome new life into this world, despite having already discussed starting a family a year or so down the line. She said she underwent the process, but has admitted to regretting it. Nevertheless, the model-turned-television correspondent tied the knot with him in 2001, following which they welcomed a son named Carlos in 2002. However, things changed following the media personality’s arrest on charges of extortion in 2007, as it also brought to light alleged accusations of cheating, driving his wife to file for divorce.

Nina Morić Prefers to Lead a Relatively Quiet Life Today

Since Nina became an official Italian citizen after two years of marriage with Fabrizio, she was able to remain in the community and home she had built for herself in Milan following the divorce. By this point, she had graced calendars, magazine covers, runways, and local television channels to such an extent that she was able to continue thriving, all the while providing for a young Carlos. Her work has spanned advertisement campaigns for Artlinea Jewels, Citizen, Sama Sunglasses, various lingerie brands, and Wolford, as well as fashion shows for Gai Mattiolo, Erreuno, Fausto Sarli, Roberto Cavalli, Rocco Barocco, Trend Les Copains, Valentino, Versace, and many other designers.

Moreover, Nina has been featured on the cover of Maxim Spain, Maxim UK, Maxim Italy, Boss Magazine, TV Settee, Panorama, Capital, Max, Pocket, Quo, Exra, Gloria, and Interviú, among many other publications. Therefore, from what we can tell, it appears that the 49-year-old international public figure continues to serve as a model to this day, all the while also pursuing her hobbies of music and travel. She has seemingly preferred to keep the details of her personal life private over the past few years, but we do know she currently shares a very close bond with her son, Carlos. As per a story she uploaded on Instagram in October 2025, her son is dependent on her and unable to work owing to some “psychological difficulties,” and she is happy to care for him. However, she claimed that her ex-husband allegedly does not offer any support to them, despite it being required under Italian law, to which Fabrizio has not responded.
