Paola and Russell “Russ” Mayfield were first featured on season 1 of TLC’s ’90 Day Fiancé.’ While he was from Owasso, Oklahoma, she lived in Bucaramanga, Colombia. He was traveling to Colombia when he first crossed paths with her, and their by-chance encounter soon blossomed into something more. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, the couple took a leap of faith, bringing Paola to her partner’s homeland, where they got married. Paola and Russ Once Reached a Breaking Point After 8 Years of Marriage
Paola and Russell Mayfield, AKA Russ, began their relationship after their initial meeting in Colombia. She then secured the K-1 visa and relocated to Oklahoma to be closer to her partner. What followed was a series of adjustments and compromises before they tied the knot in October 2013, surrounded by the love and support of their loved ones. After settling in Russ’ hometown, they began navigating their differences with hope. On January 1, 2019, he and Paola were overjoyed to welcome their son, Axel, into the world. Sadly, the pair’s bond began to crack as Russ often had to travel for work, leaving his wife alone with her mother to care for Axel. As discussed on the show, their relationship underwent significant changes when Russ experienced a COVID-19 pandemic-related employment setback, and Paola became the primary provider.
Those factors grew the emotional distance between Paola and Russ, pushing their connection to a breaking point. By August 2021, they decided to take a break after 8 years of marriage. Paola and Russ’ marriage has long been defined by its unpredictability, marked by distance and reconciliations. Over time, their carefully worded social media posts often sparked speculations, with many wondering whether they were still together. Nevertheless, recent glimpses into their lives suggest that the couple is still choosing one another over anything else. In October 2025, Russ and Paola celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. On the occasion, he expressed his love for her, writing, “12 years of love, growth, and grace. I’m thankful for every moment with you. Here’s to laughter, forgiveness, and a love that lasts a lifetime.” On January 1, 2026, the pair excitedly celebrated Axel’s birthday, showering him with gifts and affection.
By February 2026, Russ shared a video of them on his Instagram page, where he explained that life can throw several obstacles at them, but they can navigate each one. In response, Paola warmly stated, “I can’t wait to be home with my two favorite people.” In April 2026, the couple and Axel spent a wonderful time at Lee Canyon, where they snowboarded and played in the snow together. By the following month, the family visited Universal Studios, creating joyful memories that will last a lifetime. From celebrating their birthdays and going on road trips to trying out different restaurants, Paola and Russ always enjoy each other’s company. Paola Efficiently Balances Her Roles as a Personal Trainer and Pro-Wrestler
After Paola Mayfield arrived in Oklahoma, she began her career as a Sales Associate at The Riviera Tanning from September to November 2014. Eventually, her focus on personal training helped her earn her personal trainer certificate. In 2015, she worked as a Fitness Consultant at Gold’s Gym before joining Skyline Media Group as a Voice-Over Actor in December of the same year. Around the same time, Paola became the Brand Ambassador of Assist Marketing. She left her positions at Skyline Media Group and Assist Marketing in September 2016 and July 2017, respectively. Ultimately, her entrepreneurial drive helped her establish Super Pao Fit, where she has been working as a Personal Trainer since October 2017. Aside from that, Paola is also the Nutrition Coach at the venture.
From 2014 to 2016, Paola briefly worked as a Model/Actress for John Casablancas Modeling and Career Centers and Linda Layman Agency. Gradually, her evolution reached a new stage as she transitioned into professional wrestling and became a standout performer in the Women of Wrestling (WOW) arena. In the world of wrestling, she goes by The Colombian GOAT. Furthermore, she earned recognition as the winner of the series, ‘The GOAT.’ As of writing, Paola is a content creator with 1 million Instagram followers. In May 2026, she announced that she plans to attend the BAHA BASH 3 in the Bahamas, organized by All Caribbean Wrestling Service, on June 20. Outside of her career, Paola seeks respite in the beauty of nature and in self-care through regular exercise.
Russ Has Built a Diverse Career as an Entrepreneur, Author, and Digital Creator
Russell Mayfield, also known as Russ, started his professional journey in May 2007, when he joined NORDAM as a Liaison Engineer Intern. After working there for four months, he served in additional internship roles and as a Career Coach, before stepping into more serious positions. Over the next few years, Russ worked as a Field Engineer at Baker Hughes, a Drilling Engineer at Devon Energy, and a Field Engineer for Pure Technologies. From October 2018 to June 2020, he served as a Technical Product Lead at Pure Technologies, a division of Xylem Inc. He then became Project Site Manager at the organization from September 2021 to July 2023. Three months later, Russ founded his own interstate carrier business, Lift N Services.
Russ is also making his mark as a digital creator on Instagram, building a community of 343K followers. On the platform, he shares his Amazon Storefront and the website dedicated to his and Paola’s journey. Moreover, Russ had designed a fitness application, The GOAT Lab, which currently collaborates with his partner’s venture, Super Pao Fit. He has also tapped into his creative side, authoring a children’s book, ‘The Curious Case of the Missing Sock,’ which was published in May 2025. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he maintains a good relationship with his parents. A sports enthusiast, Russ often makes his way to the stadium to cheer for his favorite team.
