Figure Skating Series ‘Precision’ in the Works at Family Channel

Family Channel will bring an intriguing teen drama to its audience soon! Moviedelic can reveal that the network has ordered a series titled ‘Precision.’ Principal photography for the project will begin on February 10 in Barrie, Ontario, and conclude on May 30, 2025. The cast and crew of the show have not yet been announced.

The plot revolves around the lives of three sisters from an illustrious figure skating dynasty that is facing hard times. As the young women, who are figure skaters themselves, deal with the intense pressures of family expectations tied to their sporting careers, they are forced to grapple with the universal struggles of teenage life.

In addition to the teen drama, there is more to look forward to from Family Channel. Earlier this year, the network renewed ‘Malory Towers’ for its sixth season. Based on Enid Blyton’s book series of the same name, the show follows a group of young girls in post-World War II Britain as they attend an all-girls boarding school and embark on mischievous adventures together. Both the figure skating drama and the new installment of the period series will likely premiere in the first half of 2025.

Barrie, the principal filming location of the series, is located near Lake Simcoe in Simcoe County. The city has multiple ice skating arenas that will likely aid in the shooting of the show. Furthermore, its proximity to Toronto makes it an accessible yet distinct location, allowing the production team to benefit from the resources of the international film hub. Barrie has hosted a variety of notable productions, including ‘Anything for Jackson,’ ‘Goon: Last of the Enforcers,’ ‘Soldier’s Girl,’ and ‘A Very Country Christmas.’
