Pryce Seymour: Where is the Marine Corps Machine Gunner Now?

Directed by Chelsea Yarnell, Netflix’s ‘Marines’ is a documentary series that follows members of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in the Pacific as they attempt to become combat certified. It provides us with unparalleled insight into what it truly means to be a serviceperson in the military, especially in terms of the internal camaraderie and the personal sacrifices made during deployment. Amongst those whose experiences span such aspects is Lance Corporal Pryce Seymour of the Machine Gunner battalion, meaning he is often the first in line to provide support to all infantry units.

Pryce Seymour Enlisted in the Marine Corps Alongside His Best Friend

It was reportedly back when Pryce Seymour was just a young boy growing up in the middle of Texas, as the eldest of three kids in a broken home, that he first developed an affinity for “violence.” According to his accounts in the show, his dad spent the majority of his childhood in prison. In contrast, his mother allegedly had her own share of issues, so the family moved around a lot. He actually ended up becoming the primary parental figure for his younger siblings, Rylee Seymour and Kash Seymour, which, sadly, involved much more than just caring for them in an emotional manner.

As per Rylee, there were allegedly several instances of domestic violence in their home at the hands of their stepfather while they were growing up, and it was always Pryce who protected them. In fact, she said there was once a time he got in front of a beer bottle so that she wouldn’t get hurt, but it all changed in a very complex manner while he was attending River Road High School. According to the original, the young man had gotten into a fight with his stepfather that soon turned physical, which resulted in him getting kicked out of the home for good  he was just a teenager.

That’s when Pryce’s best friend, Rolan Smith’s, parents took him in as one of their own, well aware of his past as well as the fact that the boys were like two peas in a pod in terms of their passions. Not only did they play football together in school, but they also showed an early interest in hunting, weapon use, and patriarch Copen Smith’s time during active duty as a former US Marine Corps officer. Therefore, it was no surprise when both Pryce and Rolan chose to follow in his footsteps by enlisting in the same military branch right after graduation in 2022, at the tender age of 18.

Pryce Seymour is Very Clear About the Path He is On

Ever since he can remember, Pryce has known that he is very competitive and thrives on adrenaline, which is how he was able to excel as a strong safety and running back in high school football. Therefore, determined to be “better than the things he was around” growing up and understanding the qualities of a real man after seeing his best friend’s father, he knew he had to join the Marines. He did wonder if he was abandoning his siblings when he ultimately enlisted, considering he had always been there for them, but they all knew in their hearts that he really had to do this for himself.

Since then, although Pryce’s core affinity or viewpoint on violence has not changed, he does realize that not everyone deserves it, so he truly has no problem coming down hard on those who do. Moreover, he has discovered that while he may be away from his siblings during deployment, he will still be protecting them in a sense, all the while inadvertently acquiring the skills to protect them in person better when they reunite. So today, he continues to work hard and remains determined to be the best Machine Gunner he can be because he genuinely wants the responsibility of leading his own platoon one day. Thus, we’re happy to report that he has been promoted to the rank of Corporal, currently based at Camp Pendleton in San Francisco, California, where he is a member of the Helicopter Company unit.

Pryce Seymour is Also a Rising Entrepreneur Today

Being a Marine is undoubtedly Pryce’s priority, especially considering he believes he has found his true calling in it and how it enables him to also provide for his younger siblings as well as his nephew. However, in October 2025, he decided to expand his wings by evolving into an entrepreneur too – alongside a fellow Marine, he co-founded an apparel brand called Narrow Path Supply. Whether it’s t-shirts, sweatshirts, or hoodies, they trade in them all with a clear mission: for the clothes to embody the courage, discipline, and faith of those who take risks as well as the harder path. Through the company, Pryce takes pride in providing gear that withstands the roughest conditions while remaining comfortable, and donating $1 to the Voice of the Martyrs Foundation with each sale. Furthermore, as a man of God, he ensures that Narrow Path Supply remains inspired by the power of scripture.
