Biscuit the Dog is Found By Staten and Driven Back Home

Although ‘Ransom Canyon’ delves into mystery and intrigue, the show mainly revolves around complex relationships between interconnected characters. As such, the narrative mainly focuses on drama and interpersonal stories. One such pivotal bond depicted in the show is the bond between Quinn and Staten Kirkland. The two have a longstanding history that stretches back to their childhood days, making them incredibly comfortable around each other. To that end, Staten always comes around whenever Quinn needs help. This proves to be the case when she loses her dog Biscuit just hours before a storm hits Ransom Canyon. She is relieved when Staten drives to her house in his jeep and delivers Biscuit to her. However, as a result of his decision, he ends up stuck in Quinn’s house when the storm finally arrives.

While they are trapped within the house, Staten and Quinn start addressing their personal issues with one another. Although they both harbor feelings for one another, Quinn’s recent relationship with Davis complicates matters, leaving Staten jealous. He butts heads with Quinn constantly while the storm rages outside. However, as the day progresses, they both end up relying on each other in their moment of need. This inadvertently leads to them healing the rift between them and opening the possibility of realizing their true feelings for one another. Eventually, they end up sleeping together, which proves to be a monumental moment in the next phase of their life. Thus, in a roundabout way, Biscuit ends up bringing Staten and Quinn together after their constant bickering for large chunks of the narrative.

At the storm’s end, Quinn is left with a significant dilemma to ponder as she recalls her tryst with Staten. Her relationship with Davis makes her feel guilty about her clandestine affair with the ranch owner. But she also knows that her feelings for Staten have always been there. As such, she is left with a problematic choice moving forward. However, as she makes her decision, her dog Biscuit keeps her company in her empty home, which is sure to make her feel better, especially with the dog safe and sound following the momentary scare with the storm and its momentary disappearance. Although we don’t see the beloved canine that often later in the story, it is likely that it is healthy and continuing to be a vibrant presence alongside Quinn.
