As a documentary series underscoring the realities of NFL dancers, Netflix’s ‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ is the perfect blend of entertaining and intriguing. That’s because it follows these individuals as they navigate auditions, training camp, as well as the football season, all the while also juggling their personal lives and full-time jobs. Thus, of course, season 2 is no different, especially since it focuses on not only the rookies of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) 2024 squad but also the veterans, like Reece Weaver.
Reece Weaver Has Been a Part of the Dance World Since Her Early Days
Born on July 9, 2002, in Jacksonville, Florida, as the youngest of three to Susan and Larry Weaver, Reece Weaver was admittedly raised in a Godly, loving, and supportive household. Therefore, the moment she displayed an interest in the art form of dance at the tender age of 3, they encouraged her to let her creativity shine by enrolling her in a studio for formal classes. She hence trained in various genres, just to then be allowed to attend an art school from the age of 11 or 12 after telling her parents that she actually wanted to pursue a career in the same.
Little did anyone know Reece would soon develop a passion for pageantry too, through which she learned to be graceful and humble in the face of adversity while also honing her skills. She actually earned the title of Miss River City’s Outstanding Teen in 2016, shortly following which she concluded her campaign to be Miss Florida Outstanding Teen as a 1st runner-up. However, the very next year, at the age of 15, she was able to earn the coveted title of Miss Florida Outstanding Teen, proving that determination and hard work are the answer to everything.
Reece eventually graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 2019, where she had been carefully refining her abilities on the dance team in preparation for higher studies. After all, she knew she wanted to pursue a degree in this art form, which she did following 4 years of theoretical learning as well as active participation on the dance team of the University of Alabama. That’s when she decided to try out for the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders because she knew it would be a great stepping stone in her dreams of becoming a professional dancer one day.
Reece Weaver’s DDC Journey Has Been Nothing Short of Extraordinary
It was in 2023 when Reece decided to audition for the DCC. It was a difficult endeavor for her, considering she had to be far away from all her loved ones while she auditioned and trained, but she was wholly dedicated to the process. That’s because she believes the DCC girls “embody not only pristine talent, but women who are well-rounded in all areas of life. A DCC has a servant’s heart, and I knew I wanted to be a part of something greater than myself.” She had no idea that the entire process would be as intense as it was, though, yet she still managed to make the team in her very first year, which is actually rather uncommon.
Some of Reece’s closest friends from training camp unfortunately got cut, but the sisterhood they had developed in a short period of time was such that they were just happy for her. That’s when Reece’s then-fiance Will Allmen relocated to Dallas, Texas, for good too, and they began building their life together, knowing that she wanted to be a part of this organization for as long as possible. Therefore, almost as soon as the 2023 season came to a close, she began getting ready for the 2024 season, only to kill every part of the audition until she once again made the team, and this time she had some friends from the previous year’s camp right alongside her.
Reece Weaver’s Priority is Her Dancing and Her Family
Considering everything Reece has gone through in the past couple of years, it comes as no surprise that she decided to audition for the DCC once again this year, and she is ready to take on the entire process once again. The Final Auditions were held on June 16, 2025, and her live solo was so impressive that the official DCC Instagram page even shared a snippet of it, making it clear she is returning to training camp. She is excited about what’s ahead, especially as DCC has already given her some incredible opportunities to expand her skills.
It is thanks to DCC that Reece has learned what it really means to perform live in front of an audience, but not only does she now do so during every Cowboy game, but she has also danced for the likes of Dolly Parton and Kacey Musgraves. As if that’s not enough, she has even danced on the F1 Race Track, done a national tour alongside her teammates, and agreed to many other public appearances to spread her wings. Her reach has thus gone to another level, but because she has still remained graceful about everything and not let her success get to her head, it has only pulled in a lot more fans.
What’s even more imperative to note is that despite Reece’s busy schedule over the past couple of years, she hasn’t let it affect her personal relationships either with her family or with Will, because she knows they are what truly matter. In fact, she has since even tied the knot with Will in a beautiful ceremony in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, where several of her teammates were also in attendance. They actually got married on April 20, 2024, so they have already had their 1st wedding anniversary, and they now share an adorable chocolate Labrador named Millie. Whenever possible, Reece loves to spend quality time with her parents, two older brothers, Will, and her in-laws.
Reece Weaver is Evolving Into an Influencer
With all the doors that being a DCC girl has opened for Reece, she has really embraced being a public figure/influencer with open arms. After all, it enables her to focus on dance while making ends meet without working 2 or 3 full-time jobs, because while being an NFL cheerleader does require a lot of time and effort, the pay historically hasn’t been great. Nevertheless, Recce seems to be doing well for herself with her millions of followers across Instagram and TikTok, where she doesn’t hesitate to showcase her life or what she stands for. She has even managed to land some significant partnerships with some global brands, which also undeniably help her along the way.
