The series highlights how status, alliances, and unspoken rules shape their exclusive circle. In the first season, Ro-Mina Ustayev often found herself at the center of tension. As the youngest member and one of the newest additions, she was still learning how the group functioned. While she aimed to stay true to her own personality and style, she also struggled with the pressure to fit in and be accepted within such a tightly knit social environment.
Ro-Mina Ustayev Felt That Her Choices Were Harshly Judged by Others
She knew that finding her place in Palm Beach society would be easier with guidance, so she naturally gravitated toward the women she felt could mentor her. Ro-Mina formed close friendships with both Hilary Musser and Rosalyn Yellin, despite the two women being clearly at odds with each other. Over time, Ro-Mina leaned more toward Rosalyn, appreciating that she was being welcomed and included. However, one aspect that made her uncomfortable was the way Gale Brophy spoke about her appearance, particularly her clothing choices. Ro-Mina even went shopping with Rosalyn and Gale and told them that she was trying to strike a balance. She wanted to stay true to her own style while still respecting the unspoken rules of the social circle. Tension truly surfaced around her birthday invitations.
In a postscript, Ro-Mina mentioned that gifts were not required, but if anyone wished to give something, cash would be preferred. Rosalyn felt the wording came across as inappropriate and blunt, and she voiced her concerns directly. Ro-Mina, however, defended herself, saying that where she came from, such requests were normal and carried no negative meaning. As she began to feel judged and misunderstood, Ro-Mina turned to Hilary for support and shared her frustrations. Hilary was sympathetic and openly defended her, offering reassurance during a vulnerable moment. That support, however, was strained when Hilary later learned that parts of their private conversation had been relayed back to Rosalyn and Gale. Feeling betrayed, Hilary confronted Ro-Mina and warned her to be more cautious about whom she trusted in the future.

Ro-Mina Ustayev was born and raised in Uzbekistan, and she later moved with her family to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she pursued higher education. She initially studied pharmacy in college but eventually shifted her focus to early childhood education, realizing that her interests had changed. After graduating, Ro-Mina set her sights on a career in business. Along with her brother, she invested in a home-care agency that quickly expanded into one of the largest providers in the region. During this period, she served as the company’s Marketing Director, gaining hands-on experience in branding, growth strategy, and client outreach. After her marriage, she was further exposed to real estate and construction through her husband’s work, which gave her an entry point into the design and development world.
Throughout these transitions, Ro-Mina has said she pursued her goals gradually and built skills step by step rather than rushing for success. In 2016, she launched Romi Design Homes and started working as an interior designer. She continues to lead the business and has numerous accolades to her name. In 2018, Ro-Mina formally began chasing a lifelong dream by launching her fashion label, ROMi Runway, working as a self-employed fashion and interior designer. Her brand gained recognition for its bold, forward-leaning designs, including a well-established swimwear line. As her profile grew, she was featured as a speaker at the Million Dollar Message event in September 2025. She was even invited to judge the Fusin Fashion Events: Designer Wars competition in December 2025.
Parallel to her design career, Ro-Mina has also cultivated a music path. She made her singing debut in winter 2016 with the single “Insane,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and remained in the Top 25 for over five weeks. She followed this with tracks such as “Karma,” “SugaMama,” and the EP “RO.” Over time, she has released more than 30 songs in English and Russian, including “Dreamer” and “Temptation” in December 2025. Maintaining strong collaborations with DJs, including DJ Tumbles (Maria Cozamanis), she has ensured her music remains widely accessible and has solidified her reputation as a multifaceted and dynamic creative professional.

The sale marked the end of an important chapter and the beginning of a new phase. Now settled in Palm Beach, Florida, the family appears focused on creating a peaceful home base while continuing to embrace change and growth.
