Savannah Louie: Where is the Survivor 49 Contestant Now?

Having been a fan of CBS’ ‘Survivor’ ever since it first premiered back in May 2000, when she was not even 7 years old, it was Savannah Louie’s lifelong dream to be a castaway on the show. Therefore, she first applied at the tender age of 17, naively thinking she would be able to conquer the wilderness and her fellow contestants without any issues, only to understandably get no response. She admittedly tried again a few years later and sadly faced the same fate, just for everything to change on her third attempt as she ended up securing a spot on season 49 at the age of 31.

Savannah Louie Appears to be Very Family Oriented

Savannah Louie was born on November 16, 1993, in Walnut Creek, California, to Mary Person and Stacey Louie, as the eldest of their two children – she was followed by her brother, Cameron Louie. According to her own accounts, her parents were quite young when they had her, so she understood the significance of love, money, and sacrifice at an early age through their direct actions. That’s because, although they didn’t have much, she could tell they gave everything they could to both her and her brother to set them up for both personal and professional success in the future.

As per Savannah, the parents assured they attended the best school, played sports, engaged in music, and partook in several other extracurricular activities to build a solid network of supporters. However, from what we can tell, Mary and Stacey unfortunately ended up parting ways for good around the early 2020s, remaining in amicable contact solely to co-parent their young ones. It appears as if the mother has since found love again with a man named Sergio, with whom she shares three adorable dogs, whereas the father prefers to keep his personal life private. As for Savannah and Cameron’s relationship with their parents, even though they are now adults, they still seem to have a very close bond with both, thanks to their background, upbringing, and shared values.

Savannah Louie is a Former Reporter Turned Marketing Specialist

It was the year Savannah enrolled at Southern Methodist University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Public Relations with a minor in Human Rights that she kick-started her career. Her first job was as an Event Program Coordinator and Office Administrator at Bratton & Co., Inc. from 2012 to 2014, during which she even spent a few months in 2013 coaching the Rudgear Estates Swim Team. She then briefly served as a Conference Staff Member at the Philosophical Society of Texas in February 2014 before joining NectarOM as a Writing and Editing Intern in November 2014. She was promoted to the role of PR Specialist in May 2015 and held it until August 2015, prior to moving on to other opportunities.

Savannah proudly served as an Assignment Desk Editor at her university’s student-run television station from August 2015 to December 2015, while also remaining a crew member until her graduation in 2016. During this period, she even landed a spot at CBS 11 News as a Broadcast Intern from January 2016 to April 2016, while also producing and hosting SMU-TV’s ‘Happenings on the Hilltop’ segment from January 2016 to May 2016. Then, in July of the same year, she made the move to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she served as a Television Host and Multimedia Journalist at Knoxville Weekend for precisely a year. She subsequently relocated to San Antonio, Texas, to join the CBS affiliate KENS 5 news station as a Multimedia Journalist, Correspondent, and Fill-in Co-host in September 2017.

Savannah was promoted to Multimedia Journalist, Reporter, and Fill-In Traffic Anchor in December of the same year, a position she maintained until she decided to move on in September 2019. That’s when she moved on to KSDK News in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Morning News Anchor and Reporter, where she remained until October 2021. She then worked as a News Anchor and Multimedia Journalist at Atlanta News First in Atlanta, Georgia, from September 2021 to September 2024, until her contract expired. So, she “did a little soul searching” before deciding to start anew, driving her to become a Marketing Content Specialist at Hyperdrive Leadership in Silicon Valley – a position she proudly holds to this day.

Savannah Louie Has Found a Balance Between Her Personal Experiences, Passions, and Profession

While Savannah’s job has always been quite demanding, she has recently taken it up a notch by not only evolving into a television personality as well as a public figure but also embracing these roles. After all, she is active on her public social media profiles and has even launched a Shopify page to sell a ‘Survivor’ t-shirt featuring her face and a tank top reading “Mean Girl” to represent her antagonist stint on the show. On a more personal level, the now-32-year-old is in a happy, healthy relationship with a man named Brandon Stiles, whom she has seemingly been involved with since at least the summer of 2024.

Since Savannah is an unwavering travel enthusiast, exploring different parts of the world together is a big part of her relationship with Brandon too. She admittedly traveled solo for the first time at the age of 20, and she has since been hooked on the feeling of experiencing different cultures and undertaking new adventures. In fact, she traveled to Rome, Italy, alongside her mother in May 2023, went to New York with some friends the same month, and explored the Cusco countryside, trekked Machu Picchu, as well as climbed the Salkantay Summit in Peru in July 2023. She even went to Colorado in October 2023, Colombia in November 2023, San Francisco in December 2023, New York again in February 2024, Morocco in March 2024, and San Francisco again with Brandon in June 2024. Most recently, though, she and Brandon vacationed in the United States Virgin Islands in July 2024, as well as in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Connecticut, and Mexico from September to November 2024.
