Shane Miller: Where is April Miller’s Son Now?

When April Miller and Matt Wilson moved with their sons, Nate and Shane Miller, into their new home in Salt Lake City, Utah, they believed it marked the start of an exciting new chapter in their lives. Shane recalled feeling thrilled to live in what seemed like a fairytale house, but that excitement quickly turned to fear as he began witnessing unsettling occurrences. Those alleged childhood experiences left a lasting impression on him, even bringing him to tears when recalling them years later. He appears in Netflix’s ‘True Haunting’ episode titled ‘This House Murdered Me,’ where he recounts his memories alongside his mother and stepfather.

Shane Miller Allegedly Noticed Dark Shadows in His Cupboard

Shane Miller recalled that he was around seven or eight years old when his parents, April Miller and Matt Wilson, moved into their new house in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. According to Shane, he reportedly began sensing a hovering presence behind him that felt threatening. Over time, he supposedly grew accustomed to it and even referred to the presence as “Benjamin,” allegedly describing it as a little boy he could see and play with. However, Shane claimed that the cupboard in his room felt menacing and that one night, he allegedly saw the door open on its own and something emerge from it.

Terrified, he hid under his blanket but reportedly felt a presence near him. His parents said that he often woke up screaming from nightmares, leading Matt to place a mattress against the wardrobe door to help him feel safe. When Shane’s grandmother visited and slept in the room, she too allegedly sensed something unsettling. Concerned, she took Shane and his brother, Nate, to her home until the house was reportedly “cleansed.” Shane later shared that the experience was emotionally difficult, as he felt unheard and withdrawn despite what he believed was truly happening.
