Sheree Silver: How Did the Wife Swap Star Die?

Netflix’s ‘Trainwreck: Balloon Boy’ is a documentary that follows the October 15, 2009, ordeal that took the entire nation by storm. On the fateful day, the Heene family tested their homemade flying saucer, just for it to become un-tethered and float away, shortly following which they reported their middle child, Falcon, was inside. However, the incident was soon deemed a hoax by officials, which, knowing the Heenes after doing an episode of ‘Wife Swap’ with them, Sheree Silver believed.

Sheree Silver Long Served as a Hypnotherapist and Psychic Medium

It was on December 8, 1958, when Sheree Silver was born in Hampstead, England, to Leatrice Craine Jackson and Jack Jackson as one of their four children. She actually grew up in a loving and supportive home, which continued even after she relocated to the United States for good at the age of 15. According to reports, her family has been involved in metaphysics practically all her life, but it was only when she visited her homeland around 2000 that she got on the path herself after being told to do so during a psychic reading.

That’s when Sheree enrolled at the College of Metaphysical Studies in 2000 for a Ph.D. in Metaphysics, which she earned in 2005, all the while also becoming involved with the Shiloh Spiritual Center Inc.. There, she not only often took up jobs like finance and bookkeeping but also took up clients individually, in groups, or for parties and events. Her practice actually expanded over time, and she even ended up writing a book titled ‘A Voice from Heaven’ in 2004. From there, her career propelled her to appearances on national television and on the radio, too.

The truth is that while Sheree was expanding her business, she actually focused on her family too. She had two boys with Scott Silver, and in 2007, she made her first appearance on ABC’s ‘Wife Swap.’ Then, as a result of viewer voting for the show’s 100th episode, she featured on the show again in 2009. It was in the 100th episode that her swapped spouse turned out to be self-proclaimed inventor Richard Heene, who went on to experiment/test her abilities throughout the episode before ultimately deeming her “the real thing”. Since then, the gifted psychic who claimed to specialize in guiding thousands of people through problems in their lives, loves, and careers, primarily did readings by phone and did lectures on the matter. She also served as the President at Shiloh Spiritual Center.

Sheree Silver Sadly Passed Away in 2025

Sheree Lynne Silver sadly passed away at the age of 66 on March 8, 2025, in Saint Augustine, Florida, the place she called home for over two decades. The cause of her death has never been specified, but her obituary does indicate she died after a long battle with an ailment. Furthermore, it offers a genuine thank you to those who cared for her, including her caretaker, neighbors, accountant, realtor, nurse, and many close friends. But alas, in the end, she left behind her beloved dog Rachel, her two sons, Justin Silver and Andrew Silver, as well as her siblings Colin Jackson, Michelle Johnstone, and Kari Ryan.

It’s imperative to note that in the last years of her life, Sheree not only served as a psychic medium but was also pursuing her passion for the arts by painting in nature. She loved to spend time by the beach or amidst nature whenever she could, and she loved to use acrylics and watercolor to paint. She dedicated her life to guiding others to find clarity and peace by being a psychic, and she did so for herself by embracing her passions. But alas, her life was sadly cut short in a way no one could have imagined. She will undoubtedly be missed by all her loved ones.
