‘Girl from Nowhere’ is the tale of Nanno (Chicha Amatayakul), a secretive and clever girl whose arrival at any private school in Thailand signals trouble. As she transfers between institutions, her aim is to expose the lies and secrets of students and the faculty. She mainly seeks to achieve justice for female victims and occasionally manipulates others to provoke them. To fix the broken education system, Nanno believes the only way is to punish the guilty. What makes the matter more complicated is Nanno’s supernatural powers and immortality.
Nanno’s crusade for justice leads to shocking revelations and dramatic moments that highlight the gravity of the crimes. The Thai thriller anthology show is written by Kongdej Jaturanrasamee, Tinnapat Banyatpiyapoj, and Aticha Tanthanawigrai. These shows, similar to ‘Girl from Nowhere,’ intricately capture dark and unsettling themes, while also featuring puzzling characters.
