Sophie and Demola: Where Are The Love is Blind UK Stars Now?

Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind: UK’ season 2 honestly lives up to the reputation of not only its preceding iteration but also its parent production in every sense of the term. There is emotionality, romance, as well as vulnerability at every step of the way as a group of singles try to find their perfect match and fall in love without ever seeing one another face-to-face. However, while some of them even get engaged sight unseen so as to move forward to the next step of the experiment, some unfortunately end up with a broken heart despite their best efforts. This time around, they were 28-year-old Sophie Willett and 30-year-old Demola Ayilara.

Sophie Willett’s Wanderlust Has Led Her to Some Incredible Places

From the moment we first came across Sophie Willett, it was evident that while she does want to find her forever partner, her potential suitors would have to find a way to crack open her hard exterior. She is admittedly confrontational and feisty, so a man who can’t stand up for himself is her biggest turn-off, but she has also never been in love owing to the fact that it requires vulnerability. In fact, she has admittedly never shown all sides of herself, especially her soft, caring side, to any man except her father because she is terrified of finding someone and then being rejected. She believes she won’t get hurt if she is always guarded.

However, this has led Sophie to self-sabotage several of her real-life connections because it has led her to treat dating as an interview, and sadly it persisted in her bond with Kieran Homes-Darby too. He did try to get her to open up as authentically as possible, but upon being met with dry responses that only became dryer once she realized he was also pursuing a bond with Megan Jupp. In the end, the moment she realized he had given her a sentimental good luck charm, she felt disrespected and decided to part ways with him. Yet, the experience did help her recognize that it is okay to be vulnerable and emotional because that’s how she’ll meet the right one.

Since filming has come to a conclusion, it appears as if Sophie has been leading a happy, healthy life surrounded by loved ones and one travel experience after another. The law graduate from the University of Derby is currently based in Manchester, England, as a Commercial Manager at BayWa r.e. EMEA, but whenever she is not working or spending time with friends and family, she is quenching her wanderlust. After all, whether it be Barcelona, Marbella, or Murcia in Spain, Milan, Rome, or Positano in Italy, Paris in France, Madeira Islands in Portugal, Dubai, Prague, Marrakech in Morocco, Dia Islands and Crete in Greece, the Dominican Republic, and Alsager in England, she has been everywhere in the past few years alone.

Demola Ayilara Works Hard and Plays Harder

Demola Ayilara was arguably one of the most emotionally intelligent men to feature this season, considering how he never shied away from expressing his feelings to those close to him. From rather early on, he was pursuing a connection with Katisha Atkinson upon feeling some immediate sparks, only for the feeling to be reciprocated by her despite her also having another connection. However, as time passed by and he made some grand gestures to let her know his complete adoration for her, things changed because she was not getting the same reassurance from the other guy.

Therefore, following Katisha’s best efforts to get Javen Palmer to open up and it not panning out, she made it clear to Demola that she was picking him. “Don’t worry, nothing’s going to change,” she told him. “I feel confident in my decision.” However, following a date with Javen where he laid all his cards on the table, she had a change of heart – she simply felt stronger for him despite every single one of Demola’s efforts. In other words, while Katisha and Javen moved forward together, Demola was left brokenhearted.

Since then, though, from what we can tell, Demola has been prioritizing his career as a financial analyst as well as his passions of traveling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and streaming on Twitch as a gamer. In the past few years, he has been to Portugal, Thailand, France, Dubai, Turkey, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Japan, Morocco, as well as New York and Florida. Furthermore, whenever he is not working or traveling, it seems like he is spending quality time with loved ones, training, and entering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions. Most recently, the music lover as well as hobbyist gamer competed in IBJJF’s June 2025 London Spring International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship, where he secured a silver.
