Soccer has always been in the spotlight, but chasing the pure joy of the game is no longer limited to professional stadiums and elite training grounds. In cities where space is tight and schedules are overflowing, finding a place to play can be pretty challenging. Street FC aims to solve that problem by changing the rules. The company represents a movement built around accessibility, community, and fast-paced soccer. They blend technology with passion, helping connect players both online and offline. In season 17, episode 10 of ABC’s ‘Shark Tank,’ the founder of Street FC brought that vision to the forefront. His pitch wasn’t just about seeking investment but also about working for the future of community-driven football.
Street FC: Who Are They and What Do They Do?
Before officially launching Street FC, its founder, Kyle Martino, was building his own path with dedication and sportsmanship. Beyond his studies, he had always been an exceptional soccer player, which even led him to receive the Gatorade High School Player of the Year Award. He moved on to pursue higher education at the University of Virginia, where he was an All-American Player. In 1999, the founder was named the Gatorade National Player Of The Year for the second time. Kyle eventually became the eighth person selected in the 2002 Major League Soccer draft. Eventually, he continued his athletic career, playing for the LA Galaxy and Columbus Crew for seven seasons. Ultimately, Kyle transitioned into a professional path in television, leading him to work for channels such as ESPN, HDNet, CBS Sports, and many others.

Kyle has also appeared on shows like ’36 Hours’ and ‘Spartan Race.’ While working for NBC Sports, he also worked on the English Premier League, providing color commentary and studio analysis. Gradually, the founder moved into the entrepreneurial world after becoming a runner-up for the US Soccer President in 2018. Kyle then joined the National Board of Street Soccer USA as the Chairman. In 2018, he founded the Over Under Initiative. Around that same time, he began realizing he had started learning soccer on the streets or in local fields, which helped him connect and forge friendships with strangers. However, as he grew older, he realized that the community he once adored no longer existed. That realization paved the path for Kyle to create Street FC, aspiring to build the biggest football club on the planet.

In 2019, Kyle founded Goalpher, a self-rising soccer goal system. Since October 2022, he has been the co-founder of Football Cafe, which was followed by his decision to take up the role of an On-air host at Warner Bros. Discovery. Street FC, as defined by its founder, is a street football club in his home country. They have created a vast online community through their application, where users can create profiles, select their preferred cities, and choose their favorite soccer group. Through that procedure, one can easily reserve a place on the street-style court for a game with strangers who love soccer. Apart from providing a trained captain, the company also offers you high-end gear. Thus, Street FC elevates a simple sports experience through a community-driven vision.
