Although ‘Summer Villa’ is set in the French countryside, it was filmed entirely in Montreal in Quebec Province. From what we can tell, the production was carried out in the first half of 2016. Like many Hallmark movies, the shoot was packed into a few weeks. Despite the tight schedule, the cast and crew had a great time on set and left with fond memories of the experience, as Montreal’s European-style charm made the perfect backdrop for this feel-good rom-com.

In an interview with TV Goodness, he shared, “I think the last day we worked 19-and-a-half hours. We started at 11 am, and it was six the next morning when we wrapped.” Montreal is known for its versatile locations, and its European flair added an authenticity that helped bring the movie’s picturesque setting to life, making it feel both intimate and timeless.
