Sweet Seduction: Are They Still Together? Where Are Band Members Now?

As a music competition series wherein individual young artists are given a chance to form their group without ever seeing each other, Netflix’s ‘Building the Band‘ is unique. Only when a band is “locked in”/formed can the members finally meet, following which aspects like aesthetics, chemistry, style, and overall vision also come into play for better or worse. Unfortunately, it was the latter for Alison Ogden, Elise Kristine Anderson, and Haley Gosserand, who went on to form Sweet Seduction as the final band after all the blind auditions.

Members of Sweet Seduction Had Apparent Compatibility Issues

Quite early on in the show, 24-year-old Maryland native Alison Ogden made it clear she wanted to be the frontwoman/leader of her girl group without exception. Accordingly, when she started talking to her peers from her booth during auditions to see if their visions aligned, many connections automatically fizzled out, whereas she rejected others. However, things were different when she spoke with 20-year-old Washington resident Elise Kristine Anderson and 20-year-old Missouri native Haley Gosserand, as they really seemed to click.

Elise thought there was a huge possibility that she and Alison might clash heads a lot if they ended up in the same band since they are both strong-minded individuals, but she also had hope. All she desired was to be a part of a group that felt like a sisterhood or a family because she believed this would be the only way they would be able to last, so she kept holding out. Little did she know Alison was doing the same, albeit for different reasons – she always saw herself in a 3-member band, so she kept weighing her options until the very last moment. Haley, though, was ready to lock in early on since she was excited to finally start this new chapter with people she already knew were not only great singers but also authentic individuals.

In the end, Alison, Elise, and Haley did become a trio, subsequently smashing their first performance of “Into You” by Ariana Grande without ever getting to practice their vocals together. The vibes between them were a little awkward considering the situation, but their tones seemed to blend well, even if they all started emphasizing their vocal strengths with extended runs towards the end. This disconnection continued and translated into their live performances, too. They did seem to try to mend their differences, but it likely didn’t work, and they were ultimately eliminated right after the second live audience performance.

Sweet Seduction Did Not Stay Together After Their Booting

Although many might assume there was a big fight or something that followed Sweet Seduction’s elimination from the show since they are no longer together, it turns out they didn’t even discuss it. The members essentially had a mutual, unspoken understanding that things just weren’t working for them as a trio, so they went their separate ways without any issues once everything was over. In fact, while Alison chose to stay behind in the UK (where the show was filmed) to spend the next few months traveling, Elise and Haley returned to their lives and families in the US.

“We never talked about staying in a band,” Haley recently told Tudum in an exclusive interview. “We all had different paths, so we moved forward individually.” She also added that she doesn’t hold any resentment about what happened between them because she always led with kindness, no matter how it was perceived by others. Alison and Elise also share this sentiment, with the former stating, “I have so much respect for them both. They’re both wildly talented women, and very, very hardworking.” Elise further told the platform that she wishes nothing but the best for her former bandmates and hopes “they find their people and careers.”

Members of Sweet Seduction Are Doing Their Own Thing Today

While Alison hails from Maryland, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, after graduating from high school to pursue a career in music before ultimately settling down in Los Angeles, California. That’s where the part-time waitress really spread her wings, releasing not only a few original singles to showcase her range but also auditioning for ‘American Idol’ season 21 back in 2023. Though she got eliminated during Hollywood Week, she didn’t let the setback push her down. Instead, she honed in on her craft, grew as a public figure, and began working on more originals. She has since released a few more singles, with her most recent being “Sweet Surrender” on February 28, 2025 – this is her sixth one overall in her career. Alison has also revealed that she is working on her debut EP/Album, which she hopes to follow with a national tour and much more.

Like Alison, Elise has been dreaming about being a singer since she was young girl, which is how she ended up auditioning for ‘American Idol’ season 21 in 2023, too – she was 18 at the time, unlike her now-former bandmate, she made it to the top 26 before sadly being eliminated during the Hawaii Round after performing “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler. Today, though, it appears as if this 21-year-old is dedicating herself to her craft – she is embracing every opportunity to come her way, performing wherever she can, and working on new original music. Her recent single, released in April 2025, is called “Move Boy,” and it appears she is also working toward a degree in music. As for her future ambitions, she wants “to work with film composers such as Hans Zimmer and Thomas Bergersen to put together cinematic ballads that truly transport people into a different dimension.”

Last but not least, we have Haley, whose Korean, Cajun-French, and Mexican heritage is very important to her, so she ensures that she shines a light upon them whenever she can. From what we can tell, since her mom was undergoing treatment for breast cancer while she was in the competition, her primary focus has since been to spend quality time with all her loved ones. Yet, she is also gradually getting back to work as a solo singer-songwriter and actor, as made evident by how she has already landed some major roles for the coming year. This ‘Pretty Hurts’ star has a significant role in the sci-fi action film ‘Kill Him Til He’s Dead’ and the drama ‘Greg’s Going to Rehab,’ both of which are in post-production as of writing. Moreover, you can also spot her in a recurring role in Amazon-MGM Studios’ It’s Not Like That.’
