Tai Lowry: Where is Destination X Contestant Now?

Season 1 of NBC’s thrilling reality competition show ‘Destination X’ has introduced a dynamic mix of contestants, each chasing a mysterious adventure and a massive cash prize. Tai Lowry Had Been Climbing the Legal Ladder Since Her Early Career Days

Before getting introduced to the world of reality TV, Tai Lowry had begun her journey in the field of law. After earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University in 2009, she continued her academic path and eventually graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Law and Society – Legal Studies Concentration from Frostburg State University. By 2015, Tai earned a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and Temple University Japan in International Comparative Law. Her professional journey kickstarted in September 2007 as a student aide and Office Clerk at the US Department of Justice; she served there until August 2008. Even as a student, Tai was gaining real-world experience. By August 2010, she became a Resident Assistant at Frostburg State University and assumed the role for 10 months.

During that time, Tai also turned to federal service. She joined the National Labor Relations Board as a Student Aide Office Clerk in June 2010 and remained in the position until August 2012. Her legal career further took shape when she joined Anderson and Brodersen, P.A., in May 2013 as a Law Clerk for eight months. In February 2014, Tai transitioned into the role of Law Clerk/Legal Assistant at the Law Offices of Dominic Amadio. That same year, the reality star took on a one-month volunteer internship at the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings in August. By November 2014, Tai had concluded her work at Dominic Amadio, and in August 2015, she joined the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City as a Law Clerk. There, she rose through the ranks and became an Assistant State’s Attorney.

Tai served there until July 2017 before moving on to the Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County. There, she rose to the position of Assistant State Attorney in the Jury Trial Prayer Unit, a role she held until August 2019. The next month, she transitioned to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, continuing her work as Assistant State’s Attorney until February 2020. However, she rejoined there the following December and continued to work until June 2023. Tai also joined a private practice, Offit Kurman, P.A., in February 2020 as an Associate Attorney for five months. In October 2021, Tai began a new chapter as an Associate Attorney at the Rodriguez-Nanney Law Firm, serving until March 2022. The reality star also took on the role of Managing Attorney at the LA Law firm, L.L.C., in June of the same year. It was a position that Tai held until September 2024.

Tai Lowry Has Embraced Her Role as a Flight Attendant With Open Arms

After years of pursuing justice in court across Maryland, Tai has taken a bold and refreshing step. While she was still working in law, the reality star made the courageous decision to explore a new professional path that aligned more closely with her love for travel. Hence, she joined the training program for Flight Attendants at American Airlines, class of 23-26. By November 2023, Tai proudly completed her training. In October 2023, she officially became a full-time Flight Attendant for American Airlines. Besides the show, Tai features in the short film, ‘The Hitchhiker’ (2020). She has also built a vibrant and engaging digital presence outside her career.

Tai is quite active on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where she offers her followers a mixture of occasional glimpses of her professional life and personal highlights. She also runs a namesake YouTube channel. On the platform, the reality star shares vlogs, offering a deeper look into her journey. In April 2025, Tai entered the colorful world of cosplay. She attended her first convention, Awesome Con, in Washington, D.C., and proudly shared it with her Instagram followers. She has even extended her influence to collaborations, promoting the Hi-Lawn Rooftop Bar on the platform.

Tai Has Been Exploring the World While Staying Close to Her Loved Ones

Beyond her professional achievements, Tai’s personal life is just as dynamic. She maintains a deep bond with her mother, Tammy, who is a big part of her world. She never shies away from expressing her love for her, which was evident from how she wished her mother on Mother’s Day. She penned a heartfelt message, reading, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!! I’m so thankful that YOU are my mom, and I love and appreciate you not only as my mother but also for the woman that you are. I’m grateful you’re still here, Mom.” Besides this, friendships are also quite an essential part of Tai’s life. From cheering on her best friend as a first-time homeowner to helping host a baby shower for a friend, the reality star always showcases her admiration.’

Tai has also built lasting bonds with her flight attendant crew and fosters an amicable bond with fellow reality stars. Above everything, her passion for travel has long fueled her dreams and shaped her career path. It has taken her to several exotic locations where she has embraced the beautiful cityscapes and vibrant cultures. In August 2024, Tai checked off two of her dream destinations on her list. It included her trip to the magnificent city of Cairo, Egypt, and London, England. Two months later, the reality star wandered the fashion-filled streets of Milan, Italy. Over the years, Tai has also explored Japan, Cuba, Thailand, and many more breathtaking locations.

Tai is quite adventurous and dives headfirst into thrill-seeking experiences like skydiving, bungee jumping, and whitewater rafting. Her recent European tour, sparked by her appearance on the reality show, was yet another chapter in her ever-growing travel itinerary. Moreover, Tai enjoys engaging in interactive murder mystery games with her crew, strolling through the National Gallery of Art and discovering new restaurants where she gets to relish several cuisines. During her appearance on ‘Destination X,’ she expressed how she recently went through a divorce. As of writing, it is quite evident that Tai is fully embracing her life as an independent and free-spirited single woman, making sure to make every moment of her life count.
