Tami Ryder: Where is the Vernon Resident Now?

In Paramount+’s ‘Wild Boys: Strangers in Town,’ the primary focus is on Roen and Kyle Horn’s journey as they ran away from their California home in 2003 and began living in the woods of Vernon, British Columbia. The two-part documentary series also explores how Tami Ryder befriended the two brothers and went out of her way to help them. However, little did she know that they were lying to her about their identities and background. In the end, she played a vital role in reuniting them with their parents.

When two brothers, Roen and Kyle Horn, ran away from their California home in 2013 and began living in the wilderness of Vernon, British Columbia, a local woman named Tami Ryder found them roaming on the streets. Since Roen’s appearance looked concerning due to his weight, she became alarmed and decided to talk to them. They told her that they were Will and Tom Green and were raised in the Canadian wilderness by their parents.

As Tami became friends with them, she introduced them to her family and friends and also helped them find accommodation at a local hostel in Vernon. She also tried to get funding for the two brothers from the government, but because they lacked identification, they couldn’t help her. Thanks to her efforts, Roen was admitted to a local hospital to get treatment for his eating disorder. Soon, she learned the truth about their real names and upbringing as their parents contacted her. Ultimately, she played a huge role in the reunion of the Horn family several months after Roen and Kyle escaped from home.
