Lifetime’s ‘Tempted’ is a psychological thriller drama that centers on a married couple, Julia and Rick Morningside, who acknowledge that their marriage is deteriorating and on the verge of collapse. Things start to change when a gorgeous young woman named Lottie enters their lives. At first, she injects a hint of excitement back into the lives of Julia and Rick. However, Lottie soon lures the couple into her childhood home and becomes the third person in their marriage, despite Rick’s refusal. What was supposed to be an affair of one night turns into something regular as Lottie gets closer to Julia. The dark visual setting crafted by director Lindsay Hartley transforms Julia and Rick’s home into a space with mounting tension, shaping the visual canvas of the narrative.
Where Was Tempted Filmed?
The shooting for ‘Tempted’ took place entirely in California, particularly in and around Los Angeles. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Tubi original got underway in March 2024 under the working title ‘One Night Stand’ and wrapped up after a few weeks by the end of the same month or in early April of the same year. Samantha Neyland Trumbo admitted to getting out of her comfort zone for the film, for which she felt proud and grateful. She also shared a few words of praise for the director, stating, “@lindsaynhartley watching you adjust how you spoke to every actor based on what they needed in that moment was my absolute favorite. I’m also a big fan of how you refer to trees as ‘that wood shit over there.'”
