Alexandre Carrière has locked in his next directorial project for Lifetime! Moviedelic has learned that the filmmaker will helm the survival thriller ‘Terminally Delayed’ for the network. The TV movie will enter production in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, on February 24, 2025. Chris Silverston wrote the screenplay.
‘Terminally Delayed’ revolves around a group of stranded travelers who find themselves stuck at an airport hotel when a snowstorm grounds all flights. Over the course of a tense night, old flames are rekindled, buried secrets come to light, and a brutal crime unfolds. What begins as a frustrating delay quickly becomes a deadly game of trust and survival.
Alexandre Carrière is a frequent collaborator of Lifetime, having previously directed ‘A Chef’s Deadly Revenge,’ ‘The Boarding School Murders,’ ‘Maid for Revenge,’ and ‘The Price of Perfection.’ His TV movie credits further include the network’s ‘Obsession: Escaping My Ex,’ ‘Obsession: Stalked by My Lover,’ and ‘Killer Prom.’ Some of his other works are ‘The Perfect Cheerleader,’ ‘Homekilling Queen,’ ‘Zombie at 17,’ and ‘His Perfect Obsession.’ Additionally, Carrière directed the documentary series ‘Vert d’Envie.’ Apart from ‘Terminally Delayed,’ his upcoming movies include ‘Playing with Fire’ and ‘Not So Perfect Stranger.’
St. John’s has served as a notable location for various film and television productions. It is famously featured in the film ‘The Shipping News,’ which showcases the city’s coastal landscapes. More recently, St. John’s has hosted the filming of Citytv’s detective series ‘Hudson & Rex,’ CBC’s police procedural series ‘Saint Pierre,’ and the sitcom ‘Son of a Critch.’
