TLC’s ‘90 Day: Hunt for Love’ reunites familiar faces from the ‘90 Day Fiancé franchise’ and gives them another shot at finding romance. In the first season, the contestants spent time together at a resort in Tulum, Mexico, in hopes of building connections, and among them was Tim Malcolm. When he first met newcomer Elise Benson, he recognized the potential for something meaningful, but several obstacles stood in his way. Though ultimately, that relationship didn’t work out either. Feeling disappointed, Tim pulled back his attention from Elise, though he later admitted that he had liked her and had wanted to ask her out all along. During the Tell All, he put his feelings on the table and finally asked Elise on a date. To the delight of many, she said yes.
Tim and Elise are on Friendly Terms With Each Other
Elise has spoken about her experience during the season and clarified that she and Tim never actually went on the date that had been teased. According to her, the reason was mainly due to the production schedule, as filming wrapped up very late, and by the end, there simply wasn’t enough time to follow through. While this may have disappointed others who were rooting for the two to explore their chemistry further, Elise explained that the circumstances just didn’t allow it. That being said, there still seems to be a genuine sense of closeness between Tim and Elise.
They remain socially connected, and Tim has even stepped in publicly to defend her when she received criticism from viewers after the season aired. He described Elise as a “sweet girl” and urged people to stop being harsh toward her, which shows his respect and care for her outside the show. Elise, on her part, has spoken warmly about Tim as well. She admitted that she may have been quick in forming an initial judgment of him, but later came to realize that he is truly a kind and genuine person. At present, their relationship appears to be more friendly than romantic. They haven’t gone on a date or started anything serious, but there’s a mutual fondness that leaves the door open for possibilities.
