Toni Baumann and Danielle Holmstrom were two of the closest friends of Mindy Morgenstern. On the evening of September 13, 2006, when Toni and Danielle went to a bar just outside Valley City, North Dakota, Mindy, who was considered the “good girl” of the group, couldn’t join them. Per Toni’s account, her boyfriend at the time had a problem with her spending alone time with Danielle, as he allegedly disliked her. So, when he suspected that his girlfriend was lying about being with Mindy, he asked to speak to the latter. Immediately, Toni and Danielle drove down to their friend’s apartment in the hopes of salvaging the situation, only to find her dead. Toni’s shrieks of horror alerted others in the area, and the police soon got involved into the matter.
Toni Baumann’s Life Revolves Around Her Family
Toni Baumann will never forget the night of September 13, 2006, when she lost one of her closest friends to a heinous crime. Though more than 18 years have passed, the memory of discovering Mindy Morgenstern in that state continues to haunt her. With a void that can never be truly filled and a pain that runs deep, Toni somehow managed to carry on, as that’s what her friend would’ve wanted for her. Over the years, the Sanborn, North Dakota, native worked hard to create a life she loves, personally and professionally. A determined individual, Toni gained extensive experience working at Roby’s. Throughout all the ups and downs, her family — comprising her parents, brother Jeff, and sisters Haylee Baumann and Lacey Millage — has remained a constant pillar of support.
Although each member is leading a life of their own, the Baumann clan always gets together to celebrate the special days or spend some quality time with each other. Since family is central to Toni’s life, she never shies away from expressing her love and support for them. She shares a close bond with her nephew, Carter, and completely dotes on the adorable little munchkin. She often shares hiring-related updates about J & L’s Bar & Grill, which is co-owned by Lacey. On the personal front, Toni got engaged to Terry Procai Stangl sometime in 2016, at the same time and venue where her sister, Haylee, accepted the proposal from her then-partner. While their grandma hoped to see the two ladies throw a double wedding ceremony, it didn’t pan out as Toni and Terry broke up some time later.
Nevertheless, Toni didn’t close the gates to love forever and found the love of her life in Marty Undem. He is a North Dakota State University graduate with a degree in Crop and Weed Sciences. After seemingly dating for a while, the two tied the knot on July 26, 2024, at The Pines Weddings & Events Venue in Davenport. Their special day was graced by the warm presence and wide smiles of their family and friends. As of today, Toni and her loving husband reside in Rogers, North Dakota, where they have built a beautiful life for themselves. From what we can tell, Toni is still close friends with Danielle Holmstrom. While Mindy is gone forever, Toni continues to honor her life by keeping her memories alive in her heart.
Danielle Holmstrom is a Working Mother of Two Teenagars
Danielle Holmstrom was also deeply affected by the discovery of Mindy Morgenstern’s remains that fateful night of September 2006. Hailing from Lisbon, North Dakota, she graduated from Lisbon High School in 2002 with flying colors. Since she had a knack for teaching and a love for children, she became a 3rd-Grade Teacher at Lakota Elementary School and a 2nd to 4th-Grade Teacher at Fort Ransom Elementary School. Later on, she decided to make a switch in her career, and as of today, she is employed at Petro Serve USA, a company that specializes in supplying fuel across the nation.
The resident of Valley City, North Dakota, Danielle, is a mother to a son, Mavrick, and a daughter, Mazie. From the looks of it, she is currently a single mother to her kids and does her best to fulfill all their needs. Apart from being a doting mother to her children, she is also a parent to her furry little friend, Hadley. Apart from missing her grandfather from time to time, she appears to also grieving the loss of someone close to her.
