Wade Griffin: Where is Taylor Rene Parker’s Ex-Boyfriend Now?

Wade Griffin, now known as Wade Alan, began his day on an excited note on October 9, 2020. He was awaiting what he thought was the birth of his first child with his then-girlfriend, Taylor Rene Parker, in Texas. However, everything came crashing down when he discovered that she had lied about being pregnant and had killed a 21-year-old mother, Reagan Simmons-Hancock, and cut her unborn baby out of her. Netflix’s ‘Maternal Instinct’ revisits the unsettling case, exploring how Taylor deceived the people around her for months, especially her then-boyfriend, Wade. The episode also features interviews with Wade, his mother, and his friends, who discussed about the emotional toll of confronting the truth.

Wade Griffin Testified Against Taylor Parker During Her Trial in 2022

Wade Griffin was at a rodeo when he first crossed paths with Taylor Rene Parker in July 2019. According to him, they soon began dating, but within just three months, his girlfriend alleged that her mother, Shona Prior, didn’t want her to get an inheritance worth several million dollars from Taylor’s grandmother. Wade stated that his then-partner quickly moved in with him, claiming it was to protect herself from her mother. It wasn’t long before he and Taylor began spending on off-road vehicles, cars, and cattle. According to reports, Taylor claimed she was about to receive several million dollars in inheritance money and made a final cash offer for a ranch in Oklahoma worth $4 million. While speaking on that matter, Wade recalled, “She painted a pretty picture of the future.”

Reports state that in January 2020, Taylor claimed that she was pregnant with Wade’s child. However, she reportedly never took him to the doctor’s appointments. According to court records, suspicions arose when one of Wade’s friends finally spoke with one of Taylor’s former friends and learned that she had gotten a hysterectomy years earlier and therefore could not become pregnant. As per Wade’s statement, he continued to stand by his girlfriend because he believed Shona was behind the rumors. Everything changed on October 9, 2020, when Taylor killed 21-year-old Reagan Simmons-Hancock and cut her unborn child, Braxlynn Sage Hancock, out of her mother’s womb. The unborn baby was sadly declared dead at the hospital.

Ultimately, during the investigation, Wade discovered that his former girlfriend had made false claims about her finances and pregnancy. During her trial in September 2022, he bravely took the stand to testify against Taylor, revealing the false claims she had made. While speaking about his thoughts on the matter, Wade stated, “The whole point behind it all, I really don’t know, but I guess she was hoping one day, I’d finally, I’d finally tell her, you know, that I loved her, but I never, I never did.” Shortly after her conviction in October 2022, Reagan’s husband, Homer Hancock, filed a wrongful death and negligence civil lawsuit against Wade and Taylor. The suit alleged that Wade was negligent for allowing the defendant to drive his car on that fateful day. It is essential to note that there are no further updates on the lawsuit proceedings.

Wade Griffin is Thriving as a Hog Trapper With the Support of His Loved Ones

Before the entire ordeal, Wade had immersed himself in the country life. Around 2019, he was working at a roofing company in Daingerfield, Texas. Simultaneously, he built his other sources of income as a livestock manager, welder, and hog trapper. According to his mother, Connie Griffin, people began turning away from her son due to his involvement with Taylor. According to reports, Wade unfortunately lost his job after October 2020 due to the horrific case. He stated, “Pretty much ruined my whole reputation. Slandered my name, my brothers, my mom. Worst thing I’ve ever had to live through, for sure.” However, Wade didn’t let that hold him back as he started getting back on his feet.

As of writing, Wade has been working diligently by caring for the cattle and hogs on his family’s farm, Circle G Farms, and often conducts sales for them. Aside from that, he now runs a licensed hog holding and buying facility named Circle G Hog Buying Facility in Simms, Texas. From February 27 to March 1, 2026, Wade and his family hosted the Reagan Hancock Benefit for Kynlee’s Future, during which he welcomed several teams to engage in a hog-hunting contest. As host of that first annual event, the team that hunted the biggest five boars received buckles. From time to time, Wade conducts sales of items like dog boxes and actively participates in fundraisers for those in need.

When Wade steps back from his professional life, he enjoys hunting trips with his friends. In May 2023, he traveled to South Africa and successfully hunted a deer with antlers. He always cherishes the meaningful moments he spends with his friends, as they hold a special place in his heart. His affection is also significantly devoted to his pups, who accompany him on hunts. Wade maintains a strong bond not only with his brother but also with his beloved mother, Connie, who is one of his biggest supporters. Over the years, he has overcome hardships and walked the path of healing, surrounded and guided by his family.
