Based on the eponymous Belgian show, Fox’s ’99 to Beat’ is a game show that features 100 contestants from different walks of life, competing in a series of unique and hilarious games or challenges. The rules for elimination are quite simple — players who finish last are sent back home in every round. The rest of the contestants advance to the next rounds. All the players must rely on their physical and mental abilities to come up with a strategy to come out on top of their competitors. The competition continues until there is only one player left, who will win the grand cash prize of $1,000,000. Besides the interesting lightning-fast games, the show’s hosts, Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews, also add another layer of entertainment. The visually distinctive games take place indoors in a controlled setting while the players go head-to-head against one another.
99 to Beat Filming Locations
’99 to Beat’ is filmed in England, reportedly in London. From the looks of it, the principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the Fox production took place in the summer of 2025, specifically in the month of June, over the course of three weeks or so. As the premiere of the show approached, one of the cast members, Jonathan Hannon, took to social media and highlighted that “*none* of this could have happened without the work undertaken by the members of the team “behind the scenes” who cared for us each day, from sunrise to sunset. For as much recognition as we may receive, they deserve as much, if not more.”
London, England
The capital of England and the United Kingdom — London — served as the primary production location for ’99 to Beat.’ The filming unit set up camp at one of the film studios located in and around the city, such as Kennington Film Studios, Mount Pleasant Studio, Pinewood Studios, and more. The cast and crew members reportedly spent up to 14 or 15 hours on the set, which also allowed the 100 contestants to know one another and form lasting friendships. Several of them even managed to explore London in their free time along with their loved ones.
One of the contestants, Jordan Elyk, talked about the show during a conversation with ABC8News. He stated, “I’m proud to represent Boston on a national stage. This show is all about timing, focus, and knowing how to strike during each game, and that’s exactly how I live both in and out of competition. I’m excited for viewers to see how it all plays out.” In the establishing shots, it is likely that you might spot several iconic landmarks and buildings in the backdrop, including the Palace of Westminster, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, and Tower Bridge. Apart from ’99 to Beat,’ London has hosted the production of various reality shows over the years, including ‘The Amazing Race,’ ‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ ‘Vanderpump Villa,’ and ‘The Apprentice UK.’
