Where Was A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 Filmed?

Adapted from Holly Jackson’s second book, ‘Good Girl, Bad Blood,’ in the famous YA mystery novel series, the second season of Netflix’s ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ picks up right after Pip solves the Andie Bell case in the debut season. Gaining somewhat of a celebrity status in the town of Little Kilton, Pip also faces the negative consequences of her actions. While she tries to keep herself out of further investigations, a key witness in the Max Hastings case, Jamie Reynolds, goes missing all of a sudden before the trial.

Once again, Pip finds herself drawn into the investigation, determined to secure Max’s conviction. She embarks on a journey to find Jamie before it’s too late. During Pip’s journey to bring Max to justice in the sophomore season of the murder-mystery thriller drama series, the teenager also faces personal struggles of her own. The fictional town of Little Kilton is the setting of season 2 of the Poppy Cogan and Holly Jackson creation, as its quaint facade hides dark secrets of its residents.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 Filming Locations

Following the pattern of the debut season, ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ season 2 was also filmed across England, particularly in Somerset and Bristol. As per reports, principal photography for the sophomore round of the whodunnit series got underway in the final week of April 2025 and went on for about three months before concluding in July of the same year. A few months later, in September 2025, the cast and crew members reunited for some reshoots.

Somerset, England

The production team of ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ season 2 reportedly set up camp in the ceremonial county of Somerset, situated in South West England. To be specific, the town of Axbridge was once again used to depict the fictional town of Little Kilton, where the suspenseful tale unfolds. The cast and crew members took over the Square, which is the focal point of many activities in the town, and the area around Chestnut Avenue to lens many important scenes for the second round of the murder mystery show.

They also stopped by the Old Station and the Oakhouse Pub on the Square in Axbridge to record pivotal sequences. According to reports, several local houses and the cemetery also feature in the backdrop of numerous outdoor scenes. The filming unit also put up colored flags, street lights, a temporary mural, and other items across Axbridge to add visual layers to their depiction of Little Kilton. Somerset also features in multiple other movies and TV shows, such as ‘Hot Fuzz,’ ‘Sherlock Holmes,’ ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ ‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials,’ and ‘Young Sherlock.’

Bristol, England

The city and ceremonial county of Bristol also served as a prominent production location for season 2 of ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.’ The cast and crew members reportedly utilized the sound stages at the Bottle Yard Studios on Whitchurch Lane to bring the narrative to life. Known as the largest film and TV studio in the West of England, it offers 11 BAFTA Albert-accredited sound stages, 35,000 square feet of furnished production office space, make-up rooms, construction areas, and more.
