In Lifetime’s ‘A Scream in the Dark,’ we get acquainted with a blind yet independent woman named Ash, who works as a server at a dining-in-the-dark restaurant called The Blind Pig. Her seemingly content life gets upended when the head chef of the restaurant is killed, and she is the sole witness. As she finds herself in the middle of a homicide investigation, Ash receives protection from the lead detective of the case — Cedric Fleischer.
While keeping Ash safe, Cedric also tries to get to the bottom of the case and find the real perpetrator responsible for the murder. Meanwhile, the blind server must be careful whom she trusts before she becomes the killer’s next target. Helmed by Taylor Warren Goff, the thriller drama movie primarily unfolds in and around the fictional restaurant, The Blind Pig, which turns into a crime scene after the homicide. The story also progresses in Ash’s home and the police station.

Production on ‘A Scream in the Dark’ was reportedly conducted in Florida, especially in and around Tampa. According to reports, principal photography for the thriller got underway in September 2025 under the working title ‘Murder in the Dark’ and wrapped up in October of the same year. Upon the conclusion of the shooting process, Alli Wulfert took to social media and stated, “I had the time of my LIFE working on my second feature film🥹 feeling like the luckiest girl in the world to get to work with this brilliant cast & crew!! nobody pinch me!!”
Tampa, Florida
Most of the pivotal sequences for ‘A Scream in the Dark’ were reportedly lensed in the city of Tampa, located on the Gulf Coast in Florida’s Hillsborough County. In order to tape the indoor scenes involving the fictional restaurant, the filming unit seemingly took over a real-life restaurant in Tampa. It is likely they set up camp on a soundstage at one of the film studios in and around the city, such as Vū Tampa Bay and Litewave Studios.
