Adapted from the eponymous novel written by Elísabet Benavent, Netflix’s ‘All the Truth in My Lies’ is a Spanish romantic comedy-drama series directed by María Togores and Marina Pérez. The narrative centers on two best friends, Coco and Marín, who have also been roommates for several years. With their friend Blanca’s wedding approaching, the entire group of friends plans to reunite and celebrate Blanca’s bachelorette party.
However, as Coco and Marín embark on an exciting caravan trip with the rest of the gang, deep-seated resentment and unspoken feelings surface, threatening the foundation of their friendship. What starts as an adventurous celebration soon turns into a nightmare as secrets begin to unravel at every turn. Originally titled ‘Toda La Verdad de Mis Mentiras,’ the miniseries taps into the theme of friendship, with the caravan trip across different settings reflecting the ups and downs that the group goes through during the journey.
All the Truth in My Lies Filming Locations
‘All the Truth in My Lies’ was filmed entirely in Spain, especially in the Region of Murcia. According to reports, principal photography for the miniseries commenced in late May 2025 and wrapped after more than two months in early August of the same year. After the conclusion of the shooting process, Lucía de la Fuente, who portrays Aroa, took to social media and expressed her gratitude for being a part of the project. “It’s been a beautiful journey honestly, they have stolen my heart every single person of this team and I am eternally grateful to them. Thanks to the whole team for holding every plan, every silence and every laugh,” she wrote.
Region of Murcia, Spain
Situated in the southeastern part of the Iberian Peninsula, the Region of Murcia served as the primary production location for ‘All the Truth in My Lies.’ In particular, the filming unit took over the streets and neighborhoods of the municipality of Mazarrón. For instance, during the shooting process, the cast and crew members were spotted lensing pivotal sequences on the beach in the hamlet of Cañada de Gallego. The hamlet’s arid landscapes also feature in several scenes. From what we can tell, the production team also set up camp on various other beaches across Mazarrón, including Playa de Percheles, Playa de Bahía, and Playa del Rihuete.
To fill the visual canvas of the Spanish series, they also recorded numerous outdoor scenes on the Playa de Bolnuevo, featuring the coves that stretch for 9 kilometers along the coastline. Various key portions for ‘All the Truth in My Lies’ were also reportedly taped in and around the 3-star hotel — Hotel Bahía at Playa de la Reya, s/n, in Mazarrón. One of the local supermarkets and numerous streets between Mazarrón and Lorca also make an appearance in the Netflix production. Other notable movies and TV shows shot in the Region of Murcia include ‘Sound of the Sea,’ ‘Alice and Martin,’ ‘Asterix at the Olympic Games,’ ‘Hotel Bitcoin,’ ‘The Promise,’ ‘The Counselor,’ ‘Sky Rojo,’ and ‘That Dirty Black Bag.’
