Where Was Bridgerton Season 4 Filmed? All Shooting Locations

Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’ is a period romantic drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and based on the eponymous book series written by Julia Quinn. Adapted from Quinn’s third book, ‘An Offer from a Gentleman,’ season 4 revolves around Benedict Bridgerton, the second-eldest sibling, who is not ready to settle down just yet, despite seeing his brothers happily married. His mind changes when he finds himself awestruck and intrigued by a masked Lady in Silver at his mother Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball.

In order to uncover the mystery of the masked lady’s identity, Benedict enlists the help of his sister, Eloise. Meanwhile, he also finds himself drawn to a maid named Sophie Baek, who works for the Lady of the house, Araminta Gun. Little does he know that Sophie is the Lady in Silver whom he met at the ball. As the sparks fly between Benedict and Sophie, it is fair to ask if his feelings would alter once he learns the truth about her being the mysterious young lady. The royal tale of Benedict’s romance is complemented by the selection of several royal backdrops, including the Bridgerton mansion and other lavish properties, thereby elevating the narrative.

Bridgerton Season 4 Filming Locations

Following the pattern of previous seasons, the fourth season of the period drama series was filmed entirely in England, particularly in Surrey, London, and Oxfordshire. According to reports, principal photography for the fourth round got underway in September 2024 and went on for several months before wrapping up in June 2025. Given the presence of several historical mansions and castles across England, it served as an ideal filming destination for the show.

Surrey, England

Situated in South East England, the ceremonial county of Surreal served as the primary production location for ‘Bridgerton’ season 4. To be specific, the historic and expansive Loseley Park, located near the town of Guildford, and its nearby areas were turned into film sets for shooting purposes. Constructed between 1562 and 1568, the manor house is spread across a 1,400-acre plot and doubled as My Cottage in the fourth season. Since the production team found it difficult to return to Bath due to the show’s popularity and the interruptions the crowd could cause, they decided to build intricately crafted sets on the backlots at Shepperton Studios, which took about eight months in total.

Located on Studios Road in Shepperton, the film studio is home to 31 different sound stages, 12 acres of backlot area, meeting rooms, screening rooms, multiple exterior lots, and more, making it an ideal filming destination for all kinds of projects. The cast and crew members also reportedly set up camp in and around the Hampton Court Palace on Hampton Court Way in the Molesey neighborhood of the Borough of Elmbridge. The Grade I-listed royal palace features 60 acres of magnificent gardens and a renowned maze. Its gardens and rooms feature in numerous scenes of ‘Bridgerton’ season 4.

London, England

For the purpose of shooting, the production team of the fourth round of the period romantic show also utilized the locales of the capital of England and the United Kingdom — London. Temporarily closed Ranger’s House, located adjacent to Greenwich Park in Chesterfield Walk, doubled as the Bridgerton family household. It was decorated with romantic purple wisteria during the shooting process. Several pivotal sequences were also reportedly lensed at the Old Royal Naval College in the University of Greenwich.

According to reports, additional portions for ‘Bridgerton’ season 4 were also taped in and around the Blenheim Palace in the town of Woodstock in the ceremonial county of Oxfordshire. Apart from the Chris Van Dusen creation, London has hosted the production of many notable movies and TV shows over the years, including ‘Hamnet,’ ‘Shakespeare in Love,’ ‘The Duchess,’ ‘Call the Midwife,’ ‘The Crown,’ ‘The Great,’ and ‘The Favourite.’
