Created by Merv Griffin, ABC’s ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ is the celebrity version of the original reality competition show, ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ as the title suggests. The spin-off follows a similar format, where the contestants are required to guess the correct phrases and win money or prizes after spinning the famous wheel of fortune. The significant difference is that celebrities feature as contestants to play the game of word puzzles to get a chance at winning up to $1 million.
The money won by the celebrities is sent to a charity of their choice. In season 6, ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ not only features new celebrity contestants, but also a fresh host in the form of Ryan Seacrest, who joins Vanna White. The sixth round features various celebrities, including the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestants, stars of ‘The Hunting Wives,’ and more. Besides the entertaining format and hosts, the familiar interior setting of the competition series also keeps the audience engaged.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune Season 6 Filming Locations
Following the pattern of previous seasons, ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ season 6 was reportedly filmed in its entirety in California, specifically in Culver City. From what we can tell, the principal photography for the sixth iteration seemingly took place between September and October 2025. Given the significance of California in the entertainment industry, it is home to several film studios, making it an ideal shooting site for reality shows.

Since 1995, Culver City in Los Angeles County has served as the filming location for ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ The shooting usually takes place at Stage 11 of the Sony Pictures Studios, situated at 10202 West Washington Boulevard. The team of the celebrity version of the game show likely films on the same stage, but the set is customized to suit the spin-off show. Season 6, like the other seasons, was also taped in the same spot. As for the changes from the prime-time original, the main screen is attached to the floor, and everything from the wedges of the pillars, graphical motifs, edges of the steps, as well as the cap used to spin the wheel, has touches of gold added to it. As part of the “Big Five,” Sony Pictures Studios is one of the country’s leading production studios.
