Where is Dancing With the Stars Season 34 Filmed?

A part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ franchise, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ is a dance competition series that follows the competition between dancing pairs, which consist of a celebrity and a professional dancer. In order to earn the hearts and points of the judges and audience, the duos put in hours of hard work into their rehearsals and learn new dance forms and techniques each week. After performing in front of a panel consisting of ballroom experts, they are voted on by them as well as by the viewers.

Each week, the dancing couple with the lowest points and votes is eliminated from the show. Ultimately, the last couple standing is crowned champion and takes home the Mirrorball trophy. The 34th edition of the long-running show, which is based on the British dance show titled ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ marks its 20th anniversary. While Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough returned as judges, Alfonso Ribeiro and the former professional dancer, Julianne Hough, served as hosts again for season 34. The entertaining and competitive show unfolds mostly indoors, where the dancers perform in front of the judges and an audience.

Dancing With the Stars Season 34 Filming Locations

Following the pattern of previous installments, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 34 was filmed primarily in the city of Los Angeles in California. Taped in front of a live audience, the shooting got underway in September 2025 and continued for several weeks, seemingly getting wrapped up in October of the same year.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 34 was lensed entirely in Los Angeles, a city situated in Southern California. Being the Entertainment Capital of the World, LA is naturally home to many film studios. One of them is Television City, also known as CBS Television City, which served as the primary production location for the 34th season, just like many of the previous rounds. Located at 7800 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District, the television studio complex was established in November 1952. Dedicated mainly to television production and broadcasting, the facility is home to a total of nine different sound stages, each equipped with all the necessary amenities required for different kinds of projects.

 

The Television City also offers production support and storage space, office space, a screening room, a costume and wardrobe room, on-campus parking spaces, and a weld shop. One of the sound stages with a seating arrangement was utilized as the stage where the dancers performed. Besides ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ the popular film studio has served as a filming site for various other competition shows over the years, including ‘American Idol,’ ‘Hollywood Squares,’ ‘Show Me the Money,’ ‘Press Your Luck,’ ‘Don’t Forget the Lyrics!,’ ‘Celebrity Family Feud,’ ‘The Masked Singer,’ and more.
